I've never had a problem with Chrome on Windows 7 and I use it everyday (even for work) rather than IE

Started to use Windows 10/Edge today and not sure about either (don't think you can use Edge on Windows 7 ? )

Are you sure that you haven't got any unwanted software or malware installed on your computer ?

I would first try this: https://www.google.com/chrome/cleanup-tool/

If that doesn't work, the problem is with your PC, not Chrome.

I use Firefox. It's free and does what it should.

Yup, Firefox has proven to be the least irritating for me.
