Big Aberdeen FC fan ( we were good for a while, honest!) and stand free is one of the chants from the stand. Coupled with the car I owned when I signed up to this forum.

sync24 : defines an interface for pre midi analogue electronic musical instruments such as the famous Roland TB-303. It's been my internet handle since 1994 [14.4K modem internet]. It is also my alter ego for my music productions sync24.comhowever confusion with a guy from Sweden who 'stole' the name from me has meant I don't use it for music anymore
Should have stuck with something like 'kevrs4'

What music you into sync? My brother had a pukka studio, unfortunately he's not around anymore, he produced well over 100 cd compilations had his own label, he was a bit of a hippy liked his ambient house, I'm an old house and techno man from the late 80's still got my 1200 and all my tunes

Re: Explain your username

Hey Silas, I am bang into my house/techno from the 1990's like you still have a pair of 1210's [not the uber cool 1200's !] and still occasionally DJ - Was massively into it in the 90's and played out all over Portsmouth, Brighton and the southcoast with a residency in Aldershot [of all places] and a few times playing up in the smoke - Back then I used to play funky techno & Hard House with a groove - It still is my #1 passion in music and I try and keep up to date with music via beatport. I never followed the 'house' crowd like everyone else and stuck to my style - this meant I didn't get as much exposure but I was a stubborn DJ and stuck to my style because it was what I wanted to represent - nowadays It's a bit easier with people like Carl Cox, Ben Simms & Adam Beyer being famous for playing Techno.Silas wrote:What music you into sync? I now have a full virtual studio at home with one HW synth [access virus TI] & a set of Adam 7x monitors - I sequence everything in Cubase 7 and Reason 6.5 and have a number of VST's - It's more a hobby than anything else - and I don't get hardly enough time to get into a good production session. I have finished about 5 or 6 tracks - the last one being 'dubsequence' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gWnt9FhXKg - I've another track on the go now which I really want to get finished for the summer.
These days my taste's have broadened - I listen to everything from Jazz, to Chillout, to funky soulful house, to banging techo, to ambient and finally for a bit of a headphone trip - a bit of 'drone' - I especially listen to Groove Salad & DroneZone on SOMA.FM whenever I can.
