got myself a go pro for xmas and tried it out last weekend..problem is when I try to download onto photobucket or even you tube it wont support it,.im not technically gifted so any advice in kid language would be grateful..i think it needs to be changed into jpeg or something like that

The main problem with GoPro is the compression they use is so high (slower computers can't even play the video back properly). To get the compression to a usable level, download the free GoPro Studio software and convert any files you want to use. I'm assuming you're going to just upload entire clips, rather than going through editing... would take a lot longer to talk you through. The software is pretty straight forward, but here's a step-by-step in case:

Download the software from here http://shop.gopro.com/EMEA/softwareanda ... tudio.html and install it

- Open the software, and click on Import New Files (blue banner on the left).
- Select the clip you want to upload
- Click 'Add Clip to Conversion List' (blue button bottom right of video)
- Click 'Advanced Settings' (grey button to bottom left of video) and make sure Quality is set to HIGH, hit OK
- Click 'Convert All' (blue button again, at the bottom) and wait for the Processing bar to reach 100% under the thumbnail in the Conversion List
- that bit can take a while, depending on the resolution, length and your PC
- Click 'Proceed to Step 2' where 'Convert All' was
- Cancel the pop-up template thing and click on 'Step 3 Export' at the top, that'll bring up a box
- Pick either 'YouTube' or 'HD1080p' (which will keep it slightly higher quality) and then EXPORT
- Select where you want it to save, and give the file a new (or leave it as the default).
- Wait for it to Export, and then upload that new file to YouTube

And .jpg (jpeg) is for pictures, not video... fyi

If your gopro is wifi, then using the app on a phone is very straightforward too. Can have a clip on YouTube within minutes quite easily For stuff that doesn't need editing that's the easiest way forward imo.
