I got a 12 month ban, 200 hours community service and a 2 month curfew (8PM-6AM)

Could have gone a lot worse I suppose...

Earlier on today..I was beginning to get worried about you. Not too bad a result and as you say it could have been far worse! Personally I can't see the point of the curfew it's not as if you're a knife wielding thug!

The 12 months will soon pass - it'll be a PITA I realise, but it'll soon be this time next year.

Wow, to me that seems really harsh. It sounds not much less than some (high earning) members of society get for seriously injuring people.

Still, it must be a relief to finally get it behind you.

Condolonces Al. The curfew is just ridiculous (as is the community service IMO) - neither of those punishments fit the "crime". The law is an ass!

LOL - I'm not literally using a pushbike (which would be suicide on the roads around here).

It was a tongue-in-cheek reply to "Road to recovery" bearing in mind I'm banned.

Isn't it annoying how quips aren't funny once you've had to explain them?

Its a pity that you aren't an illegal immigrant, then they would have just given you a slap on the wrist or a small fine. A curfew????? That's taking the mikey, what next an asbo?????

Funny you should say that... I did a demo at my sons school that included exploding soap bubbles filled with hydrogen gas. The kids loved it but I think the H&S nutters were having kittens!

I'm working in Oxfam for the next 7 months.
