Whats you expectation of low owners\miles? As a great deal of these cars are now hitting 4+ owners, and 100K+ miles as the early ones are reaching 10 years old now!
Just to set your expectations a little bit, Avus Silver paint with Satnav & TV (even though they are rubbish), and black leather isnt too hard to find, ....however on top of that low owners, low mileage and a 'looked after' example with all the history to back it up on top of that, may be a bit more difficult to find, so be prepared to pay handsomely for ALL that.

Yeah, you'll have to be prepared to wait a while and pay really good money for that.
I bought a similar spec during the summer (no satnav).
1 owner from new, F/S/H, 48K and paid £22K.
No regrets at all but with more miles / owners I could have bought one alot cheaper.
They are out there, but just getting a bit thin on the ground....
Good Luck!

I hear you. Got 2 that i am looking at both are two owner one is 37k miles red, sounds good but no nav and wrong colour for me. The other is 5 mins up the road and locally owned for the last 83k miles of its life with a 9000k bill for engine rebuild 7000k mles ago. The right colour but a bit on the worn side, Had a drive of it today and was told that it is around 460bhp felt good ,nice and tight pulled really well miltek exhaust was showing signs of corrosion on the tails. wheels were not exellent no signs of accident and seemed genuine.

Just had a call from guy with the red one.
20k buys me;
2001 51, 37000miles, two owner, full history (audi and independent), looks very clean and fresh from pics sent.
This guy is in his 40's and the previous owner in his 50's.
I am waiting for him to get back with details for history check to re-assure myself about things. I am however concerned that this car will need some big money spending on it soon with timing belt etc. Thoughts?

Shouldn't be more concerned about this car more than any other.
Wouldn't be overly impressed by the age of the last 2 owners either. I know many guys in their 40's (myself included) and shouldn't make you think they drive the car's sensibly...
All depends on when the brakes were changed last, ditto the cambelt, etc etc... If they need changing, budget £1k for the front brakes and a further £1k for the cambelt service.
For a minor service budget £300. Rear brakes guessing but maybe £6-700...

I looked at the Misano car on Pistonheads, could be wrong, but I think that was the low mileage Misano RS that was being sold by Nick Johnson about July.... If it is, the new owner hasn't had it long.
If it is the same car it was a clean example when I seen it.

yep that is the red low miles car which nj was selling in summer looked like a very tidy example back then not sure how things are with it now however, would be top of my list if looking to buy now.
these cars need money to keep them going if you're on a budget then look at something else. when i got my car i had to get the cambelt redone as previous dealer didn't do all the associated bits....big pockets are needed to keep these cars tip top.

Well i cant get hold of the misano car guy to find out about the major servicing.
As said before there is another car 5 mins from where i am its 2001 Yreg, 85000 miles, owned by local fella who i know of (not well), he has lost licence and has the car on a local independent dealers forecourt to see if can sell. Early indications from dealer were pointing at the owner is expecting "late teens" for it. It has had 9k spent on engine rebuild about 7-8k miles ago (dont know "exactly" what it entailed but going to learn more from the dealer tomorrow, its been looked after by carrs audi and then richards bros in Camborne, they did the engine work. It has been tuned to 460bhp i have been told, I drove it and although i thought it went well.... i somehow was expecting more. I would like advice on independant pre purchase checks from specialists please as i think this would be money well spent in my case.
