OK, so having read the entire thread before commenting so I have not missed anything, I have to say Copperhead you've been a petulant child in your comments. And for those of you who have turned up in the last two pages slagging off S/RS owners and their snobbish ways, get your facts straight before commenting because you haven't a clue what you are talking about regarding those you appear to have issue with. Having conversed with the people you are suggesting are snobs or 'idiots' for the last two years I can easily say they are not and neither am I before anyone thinks 'here we go, here's another one'.

copperhead, if the disks were scored, did you notice any appreciable difference in its ability in braking when you went for a test drive in it? Probably not because as said most RS4 crosss drilled disks will have grooving on them because they are crossdrilled. Rob posted once about pads marking his disks as you pointed out, but sorted this out IIRC by replacing with OEM modified pads which don't have these pins in them anymore. One post in his entire posting history and taken out of context.

If you put a new set of pads on they would clean the disks up anyway much like discs that had been skimmed, so what is the issue? Light scoring on a disk that doesn't affect braking and hardly warrants a new set of disks, does it? Also how did you arrive at the fact they were 'knackered', because you rubbed your finger over them? Good technical assessment there.

Now I can say Rob's car having seen it myself is in excellent condition and I couldn't care less if he sells it or not, that is his perogative. It is also a sellers perogative to tell a buyer to take a hike (or be more diplomatic about it if they choose) for whatever reason they choose and price it at whatever level they choose, so if you don't like that then don't buy that particular car or any another car for that fact. If you don't like how he talked to you, tough; doesn't mean he is a snob or thinks you are below him. What I would say is that your smart arsed comments have only justified and realised what you have suggested Rob's perceptions of you to be, so who is the bigger 'nut swinger'?

I have been a member of many car forums over the last few years and it never ceases to amaze me the number of ignorant people who feel hard done to and then come on a forum and slag the other party off. So if anything and the reason I have posted, as much as this post has been amusing for most if you have nothing constructive to say then I suggest you do just that... say nothing, move on, tomorrow is another day. This forum doesn't need this kind of bollocks and after all, it is just a forum.

I haven't named them because I did not see the need to, however it is fair to say they do not frequent in terms of posting in the B7 RS4 section so it would seem from their comments and lack of activity in that section they do not have information to make the comments they did.

My comments are not really about them but the creator of the post, suffice to say they don't help though. And as for the people on the B7 RS4 forum they are good acquiantances but I wouldn't call them mates because I've met with them one time. They know their stuff regarding RS4's and are an invaluable source of information on the car as is the rest of the forum and I respect them for that.

I suppose like anywhere they will be vociferous against someone who appears not to have done their research and acts like a tyre kicker or should I say in this instance a brake disc finger rubber.

The car in question books at 29500, if its immaculate and in the sparkling condition as discussed.
Minus a few quid for the discs ( ;) ) , private sale would be around 30-31k

So its priced pretty accurately on PH :)

I must have missed the bit when I mentioned how much I earned in what I wrote, remind me please? And deal with me? I see you also manage not to answer any of the queries put to you and instead waste your precious time trying to devalue me. I couldn't care less what class of cabin you are in but I can say you are quite successfully single handedly fueling the argument that you are the issue in all of this.

You must have missed the other comment I made when I said he was not a 'buddy' or 'mate' of mine. Do yourself and RS246.com an favour and don't come back from Florida.

Copperhead just wants to buy a good car - fair comments from what I can see. Cars are only as good as the guys like us are prepared to pay 2nd hand

P_G you mentioned something like 'petulant child' - surely it is you who is now fueling this thread.

Copperhead have a good time in Florida - these 'my knob is bigger than your' comments will run and run - it will be good read for you when you come back.

Aikihook, I don't have anything further to add and wouldn't have done so if the post Copperhead decided to post was factual rather than a potential slur. Which of his comments are fair? And the fuelling baton is passed to you my friend, not interested in the size of other peoples knobs.
