PS - Prob 70 % of RS4s will have light scoring on discs - as will mostly every other car with drilled / grooved disc. Don'y know why - just seems to be the case.

[/quote]Still leaves me a little confused though , I viewed "the best RS4 in the world " last week . It was pouring with rain so I couldn't have a very thorough look at the car , but the discs caught my eye because they looked groved and scored so I ran my finger across them , they felt grooved and scored . So I come on here and there are a que of people waiting to tell me they have seen the discs and they are not grooved and scored , so I then look through a couple of threads and find the owner talking about his damaged discs , I highlight that and people still tell me the discs are great !

The big picture for me is not about discs at all , it's about people here prepared do and say anything to get this guy's car offloaded on a newbie to the forum . I can understand members trying to help another member to sell his car , but by flat out lying is out of order . And before you all come back with smart ass coments think about what I've said , you know I'm right but you will have to disagree .carry on .

Copperhead, this has been the best thread i've read in a while. Very amusing.

I'm suprised these idiots can get on their high horse with their heads firmly up their own asses. So hats off to you.

Good luck with finding the right car.
Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves!?!

Standard S4, but not for long.

I'm not sure what difference the discs make - scored or not (and I have no idea which is the case here). The car has had some fantastic work done on it, and looks, sounds and goes like the best I've seen. I wouldn't turn it down just because a wearable part is worn.

You didn't read my previous post properly , please take the time to read it again and you will see it was not the discs being worn that stopped me buying the car .It had far more to do with being treated like an idiot .

I haven't seen the car in question so can't comment on it.
Discs that are f**cked though will have an effect on a cars value - especially when the cost as much.

Think its up to the individual to make his choice.

As I've said before - good luck on your future purchase.

You made me chuckle (and on another forum).
I suspect you maybe looking at the wrong model, you want to buy an RS2, you can then spend time explaining to people that it isn't an "80 estate with odd wheels".
Good Luck

I'll have a look at the RS2 , tbh I prefer the estate or "avant" as they like to call it .

So do you have a bike ?

No bike sadly, I tend to fall off them and I'm a bit too big for the fast ones (6'5'' 18 stone) I bugger up the power to weight thing.
I've got a steam engine though.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzIUeq4u1J8
Not fast but gets the blood pumping.
Have a good time over the pond and if you want to try an RS2 give me a shout, there is some good ones for sale at present (mainly silver) and I suspect they will never be so cheap again.
Cheers

I wasnt gonna bother posting but feel the need to show support for Copperhead. Its stuck up twats like the ones in the start of this thread that give S/RS drivers a bad name. Igood to see someone who will not take <beep> from these <beep>. Good luck with the search :thumb:
