2004 Brilliant Red B6 S4 (29,500 miles)
2004 Brilliant Red B6 S4 (29,500 miles)
I am selling my 2004 S4 4.2 in Brilliant Red to fund my return to TVR ownership.
I bought the car in December 2008, because I thought I needed something that was quick, surefooted and reliable. Unfortunately TVR is in my blood and I need to tinker!
Spec is as follows;
Full black leather Recaro interior (electric and heated front seats)
Auto xenon headlights
Bose sound upgrade with 6 disc in dash CD changer
Aluminium door mirrors
Cruise control
Climate control
Ski hatch
Rear parking sensors
Auto dimming rear view mirror and wing mirrors
The car has full service history with stamped service book. I had both auxiliary radiators replaced in April this year (27,921 miles), due to them starting to leak (common problem) and fitted Goodyear asymmetrics all round 3,000 miles ago.
MOT runs until December and road tax is due the end of August (I will be putting 6 months on).
Mileage is very low for the year and now stands at 29,500.
I am very particular about my cars and maintain them meticulously. Shortly after purchasing the car I spent the equivalent of three full days machine polishing the bodywork to remove any "cob webbing" and minor imperfections in the lacquer. Since then I have washed and maintained the inside and outside with high-end cleaning products to ensure the highest levels of condition and shine. The finish can only be described as faultless and bar a handful of very minor stone chips, the car is in exceptional condition.
It is only really used at weekends and always garaged.
Please feel free to get in touch if you wish to arrange a viewing or would like to see hi-res photos of the car.

RE: 2004 Brilliant Red B6 S4 (29,500 miles)
thats a bargain
Well to be fair I've had a reasonable amount of interest in the motor, but it would seem not having Satnav is a bit of a turn off! Personally I've always bought cars based on condition and mileage...
As confirmed by the last person to view my S4, it is in outstanding condition and excluding a couple of light scuff marks to a couple of the wheels can be described as mint.
AKA-K3 I thought you would have bought something by now!

It baffles me that people will look for satnav in a car that is 5+ years old. Surely the convenience and relative cost of portable satnav combined with the age and potential for expensive repairs later on makes built-in satnav a negative feature?
With Tomtom, I can plan journeys from the comfort and warmth of my sofa, I can update my software cheaply and easily, I can use it in hire cars and if it breaks I can replace it for a couple of hundred quid. My car stereo is very good, simple to operate and would be inexpensive to repair or replace should it go wrong.
Your car seems to be well priced and has all of the important extras.

No luck with the TVR hunting
It shocks me about the sat nav too. Will be looking at selling mine soon and that doesn't have it so that could be fun. As said above, i thought most people had tom toms now anyway.
Good luck with the sale anyhoo

It's all about the price gents. The satnav thing I believe to be a smoke screen. Most of us know it can be retro fitted.
If you wanna have a laugh and get my feelings on selling cars (as I have been doing it for years) Have a read of the thread on the B6/B7 S4 area. The thread is headed as 'Does anyone knows sales figures of yellow S4 B6's?'
Good luck with the sale.
