Long shot (TVR for RS4/6 Avant)

Post by Toobin » Mon Jun 29, 2009 1:35 pm

I have a TVR Sagaris and am looking to get an RS4 avant or maybe a good RS6 avant. I have been offered £33500 for the car from a (specialist)dealer but wondered if anyone was looking for one and wanted to do some sort of swap :-)

Just a though before I go down the dealer route

I have just done the same thing Toobin 2 months ago - Sagaris for an RS4 Avant. The RS4 is nice but not as quick as the Saggy as doesn't sound as good - I think I need a Milltek! I sold my Sag for £31000 and it had 22k miles on it - How many miles has yours done?

My saggy is like new, it has 13500 miles on it and has the benefit of a full 8month warranty (plus already had a rebuild)

I have taken out the RS4 from a dealer and loved it. I have 2 cars at the moment, the other being an A6 avant and thought that combinig the two would be the perfect solution for me :-)

So do you miss your Tivver or are you glad to have made the move?

he was infront of me and all i wanted to do was pass and proceed on my journey however, he decided not to move over and gave it the beans - all i can say is there was hardly anything in it (he didn't pull any sort of a distance on me) - suppose i was ready each time he went to kick on therefore wasn't caught out....... he eventually moved over when i passed him at 155+ on this private and very long road.............

I saw that too - 13,500 miles and needing a rebuild? I didn't think they were that unreliable/bad?

Nice to see one in a more 'subtle' colour, so used to seeing TVR's in great flambouant colours. Good luck with your RS4 hunting.

early TVR yes but I should have stipulated that this was done as part of a development project for a well known TVR dealer ... this was done in 2007 to make sure that the car had the latest components etc .. result = better performance
