Hi

I'm looking for some new front discs for my B7 RS4, does anyone have some, or tips for good value replacement?

Don't mind standard or upgrade.

Also, any advice on pads is welcome.

Thanks

Update, bought J hook rotors from Reyland

You can get Brembos from Autodoc and also Brembo pads. They are good choice

Reyland all day long.
Far superior to the standard set up and actually, not that more expensive when you consider the size of the upgrade.

380mm fronts to replace the OEM 365mm - http://www.reyland.co.uk/audi-front/
360mm rears if you wanted to do those too or in the future, to replace the OEM 324mm - http://www.reyland.co.uk/audi-rear/

I disagree that OEM Brembos are a good choice, based on my experience and the experience of many others. The drilled Brembo discs cake up with brake dust and subsequently perform terribly, unless you want to keep cleaning them. Grooved discs are much better.

Pads are more of a personal choice but would definitely upgrade over OEM. I have coupled DS2500's with the above setup and the stopping power is phenomenal. There are many other good performance pads out there too.

Just to mention that Reyland do not recommend use of Ferodo pads.

I contacted Reyland about that as I noticed it too. However, they said that they put it on their website to cover themselves because of reports of issues with the J hook style discs and DS2500 pads, but advised that this was from buyers that did not follow both the pad or disc bedding in process correctly and therefore encountered uneven wear.

There are multiple users across the forums/car groups that use this setup and have had no issues. I bedded mine in as per guidance from both manufacturers and both discs and pads are perfect with even wear and I've done about 4,000 miles now since fitting.

What type of grooving you suggest of what Reyland offers?

I went for Curved groove. Straight groove are also fine.

Well I'm sure there's no issue with those either, but they are the type that had the uneven wear pattern when not being bed in correctly.
J hook is more for aesthetic. Straight groove or curve groove tend to perform slightly better but the difference will be negligible in the real world. Really comes down to personal preference.
