How much for VCDS software for rs4 b8

Which exact version is it? Presumably it's one of the genuine Ross-Tech dongle devices but there are several versions for different ranges of vehicles.
A picture would help.
Does that price include insured shipment UK mainland? If so I could be interested, depending on exact version.....

Hi I'll check exact version when I'm home, but yes it's dongle-esque at the obd end with an led to indicate data transfer.

Regarding the question about the RS4. I don't think there's any extra to pay. The software licence and updates are linked to the cable. Within the software are loads of different cars you can select.

For the RS4 you need this to be the correct type of dongle and the latest software. As Ross-Tech say:

Please make sure to use the latest VCDS Release with a genuine Ross-Tech HEX-COM+CAN or HEX-USB+CAN since these cars use CAN-Bus diagnostics (and UDS for some controllers).

That's why we need to know EXACTLY what it is.

Here you go, latest software is via the website accessed by the cable licence so nothing to do with the cd supplied. And as you can see, this is a Hex+Can USB dongle cable, so everything you need.

Ah bugger. I'm just about to list it for £200 delivered. It's the same as this (sans manuals). Genuine Ross-Tech hex-usb+can model. Although I'm probably going to list it with the laptop I use with it also (this would be extra obviously!) PM me if you need it
