I have just fitted an AAS custom exhaust on my car after a brand new one came for sale. I bought it based upon reading reviews on here. But to be honest i would say it is not really that much better sounding than the milltek set-up i had. Anyway i am fed-up of trying different exhaust set-ups now for the c6 so my milltek system is for sale.

it was fitted to my car 2 months ago and had never been used before-since then it has done maximum 1500miles-so it is not some junk exhaust that has done thousands of miles and been on loads of different cars.

it is the cat back system with black tail pipes (although were dirty in picture with road salt)

I had the system fitted with the optional non-resonated pipes but it also comes with the resonated pipes too (if you want it a bit quieter) - the resonated pipes were never fitted so are brand new.

Original cost is £1800 with optional non-resonated pipes.

I am asking £1000. Collection preferred from Lancashire. Could poss post but likely to be expensive

I think the issue was my expectations were prob too high. Don't get me wrong the AAS is a great sounding exhaust but for me it just doesn't move the game on enough from the milltek setup. The reviews i remember reading under the rs6 section-best sounding exhaust.
it is def quieter on tick over as one of my neighbours (who is into cars) said have you put the stock exhaust back on!

 Uncalled for rudeness.

Slap his face with a herring and make him say nice things until you feel better.... :bash:

Haha yeah-it sounds no where near like a stock exhaust either.

Did you get the AAS from Newcastle?

They must have changed design because believe me mine was loud, very loud....and really loud even at tickover?

Did yours have a X pipe or similar?

Resonated pipes will deal with any drone, and it's dependant on rev range so changing up or down a gear can also make a big difference if you are worried (it's about 1700-2100 rpm in the RS4, for example).
