FS: NEW R8 front ceramics (RS4 B7 B8 RS5)

Post by C6NVS » Sat Jun 07, 2014 1:05 pm

I bought these new, with the view to getting into an R8.

Now ambition meets reality, and as the R8 won't be a feature, they are surplus.

NEW 2 x 380 x 38 disks (the new type of bell)
NEW 2 x front calipers

All items are completely blemish free, new and unused. Pad fitting kit included, but no pads or backplates.

Caliper carrier to retrofit other models RS4/RS5 can be supplied if required (maybe someone on here can supply?).

Disk part numbers: 420 615 302 G and 420 615 301 K
Disk manufacture date (stamped on both bells): 26/13
Caliper part number: 420 615 105 (other side caliper still boxed)

£3,450 ono

Please respond via PM.

Items are located in London

Ian_C - thanks for looking out

C6NVS - Interested to know how you think these would work on a B7 RS4?

As far as I understand you can't get the B7 mounting brackets separate from Audi and would therefor need custom ones made. The bell offset is also different and would require the disc to be spaced out by 5mm which then doesn't leave a lot of hub for the wheel to mount, you also have the centre bore of the bell being larger too. So basically custom brackets and bells to get them working safely - unless you know otherwise?

I think B8 RS4 & RS5 owners should not have as much trouble and just require calliper mounting brackets.

I have no direct experience with fitting R8 disks to a B7, so can't confirm or deny what is required. All I know is that it has been done.

I do have access to an OEM B7 ceramic caliper carrier. B8 and RS5 carriers would have to be found.

Good question, I don't actually know, but I doubt they would without some significant modification.
