Why wouldn't you just buy the right size ones? For me spigot rings are fine if you really want a set of wheels hat only come in a certain size, but there is no reason to buy the wrong size spacers when there are ones of the right size readily available. You are unnecesarily risking wheel wobble if you ask me, but yes I can't see why a spigot wouldn't work.

A spigot might get the spacer sitting nice and snug on the hub. However, if you have a wheel with a 57.1 centre bore, it won't go onto the spacer (unless it's an aftermarket wheel with a large centre bore that has been reduced with a spigot ring, that could be swapped).

Best to just get the correct spacers. If you don't want to fork out for H&R's, there are cheaper hubcentric spacers on eBay.

would they not work with a spigot ring?
The B8 has the larger centre bore. So you could fit a spigot ring to the B7 and make the spacers fit, but how would you then fit your wheels to the (larger bore) spacers?

Thanks

FYI, that's with no spacers so if you go for a set of B8 RS alloys, whether it's the Rotors or the V spokes, you shouldn't need any spacers anyway (but you will need spigots).

Thanks for the info, I'm thinking of going with the S5 20" alloys, the ones that look like rs4 b7's. Stock look but a larger wheel.
