It has lip around the edge (if I remember it doesn't go all the way round though) and just pops over the top of the bottle. I suppose the bottle flexes slightly to allow it on.

The R8 one apparently wont fit so I got a Golf one then thought the Forge one would look better with the Porsche caps I have.

Join the club, I spent ages modifying the power steering cap to fit.
