I recently traded my front resonator for a Milltek X-pipe as part of an experiment to see what difference it made from my original non-res system.

Exhaust tone and volume is highly subjective and I prefer the original non-res setup (despite it being louder overall) so I'm looking to swap back and therefore need a front resonator again as the person I originally traded with has the Valvesonic system and is now happy with their sound level.
I'm based in Berkshire but happy to travel around 50 miles to any reputable tuner/garage to perform the swap.

Can you explain what you don't like with x-pipe? Too loud ? Drone ?
Re: FS/Swap - Audi B8 S4/S5 Milltek X-pipe for front resonat
I've since discovered that one (or both) of my cats have failed which is polluting any opinion I can have on what impact the X-pipe has on the tone of the exhaust system as a whole. I have been reliably informed however that the sound is simply deepened, with more bass and volume than before, but a similar tone to the original resonated system.
It's not so much the sound but my circumstances that are dictating the swap. I have an RS5 rear diffuser which means the tailpipes blow through rather than under the diffuser, so having rear silencers is proving to be a real challenge in terms of clearance. I'm therefore going back to non-res for an easy life, and because I absolutely love the way it sounds, but this means I need a front silencer otherwise it will be way too loud.
However, I've ordered a brand new front silencer now anyway, so the trade is off unless you act very quickly.

Re: FS/Swap - Audi B8 S4/S5 Milltek X-pipe for front resonat
So have you offloaded your X-pipe somewhere in the end? I have a fully standard 09 S4 and was looking for a mild exhaust tweak.
Re: FS/Swap - Audi B8 S4/S5 Milltek X-pipe for front resonat
X-pipe is coming off on Thursday, but it won't fit a stock S4 as this is a Milltek part and therefore the diameter is larger. Sorry.
I believe you can get a suitable X-pipe for the stock system off eBay but I don't have the link to hand.
