(Airbag) Resistors 2.1, 3.3 and 5.0 ohm

Hi

Thought I would post this here.

I can make up these airbag resistors for anybody that needs them.

Suit any model car, BUT you must find the correct value for your car, as i just sell fused resistors for any use, if you decide to use them to replace an airbag that's up to you.

They are a .25 watt resistor with a 2 amp fuse.

What they do is fool the airbag ECU in to thinking your airbag is still in the system by having the same resistance as the missing airbag. They are fused for safety, due to fact if the airbag ECU send a deployment voltage to the missing airbag resistor, it with fry it, a .25 watt resistor will not get that hot before going bang but the fuse will blow first, its not good having hot items in a accident. That why I use a .25 watt resistor as a 2 watt one would get even hotter before blowing up.

I fitted 5 of these in 3.3 ohm form to my Clio V6, one for the after market steering wheel, 2 for the Recaro seats, ( no airbags) and 2 for the seat belt pre tensioners as had harnesses.

I think some Audi's need the 5.0 ohm,not sure about VW etc but it depends on the model.
Warning Airbags can cause serious injury.

1. Never work on or around an airbag with a “LIVE” battery or power source connected.
2. Never tamper with, remove or service an airbag system without first knowing the dangers, precautions and procedures for proper removal, service or installation.
3. Follow the manufacturer guidelines for deactivation. Every manufacturer is different and has procedures available in their repair manuals and shop service manuals.
4. Use new, sealed, factory parts. Aftermarket, used and reconditioned parts do not always conform to the same strict safety guidelines required by law and may have been damaged, altered or tampered with affecting their dependability and safety.
5. Always use professional mechanics for any work required on airbags or airbag systems.

Airbag safety is nothing to ignore. Too many professionals, technicians and paramedics have already seen the cost of accidental deployment. Airbag systems are designed to be powerful and effective. They deploy with the same powerful forces regardless of whether it's during a collision or as a consequence of an accidental deployment.

Keeping a safe distance, working with knowledge of each vehicle's system and respecting the dangers involved will keep you safe when working around airbags.

Thank you for the purchase of my resistors, please note these items are a general resistor with a fuses attached and have many uses in electronic and automotive systems.
No warranty implied or offered by the seller of this item for any damage or injury that results in the fitting of these items to any automotive system or any other electronic or electrical system.
The use as a replacement for airbags or pretentioners is just a suggestion and is not a recommend use for the item.
This item is for your use, as you see fit.
Payment via paypal prefered.
