Due to circumstances I am going to have to sell my recently purchased RS6.

I bought this car off of forum member pau1 about 6 weeks ago with the intention of keeping it as a weekend car and only doing 500 miles or so monthly in it.

However, I have been offered a job that I would be stupid to turn down (good),but which means that instead of getting a train and walking to work, I will have to commute about 400 miles per week (bad)....

I can't justify the running cost's for this car and it would be a shame to subject it to that sort of abuse.

No other reason for selling, have not found any nasty surprises or anything like that, just really can not justify the running costs.

May P/X something like mk5 Golf GTI, BMW M3 E46 or similar up to value of £7000 but not going to travel length of country to do so

Still awaiting reg docs back from plate transfer!

Anybody with an interest can do a search on forum and find out a lot of the history.

Original RS6 wheels painted in Plus Titanium Grey with tyres included.

Bad bits are, there are a few stone chips/ marks here and there,couple of switches not working (mirrors and drivers heated seat) and some small kerbing to a couple of wheels.

Might be a wee bit more expensive than some others out there but buy one cheaper and you might end up with a £7000 bill as you guys will know!

Car can be viewed in Aberdeen during the week, or 10 miles north of Inverness at weekends.

Price reduced as could do with selling reasonably quickly.

Only thing that's changed is that the passenger door is doing the bounce back open thing if slammed too hard. Still closes if more gentle.

Spare wheels and tyres not included

No time or inclination to get it sorted.

New photos here now, one of the stone chips on bonnet, and one of chip in windscreen thats been there for 40k according to MOT's

Can't believe this car hasn't sold Paul, it really is one of the best examples on the market at the moment.

My car has strayed doing the bounce back thing as well, do you know what is needed to fix it?

If you want to sell the dectanes I'm up for a set!

Spray your door lock with white ptfe spray, should sort the bounce back.

It's a cracking car for the mileage, nowt wrong with it outside the usual wee RS6 niggles, just genuinly can't justify the costs now and really don't want to ruin it!

I did try the PTFE spray on the door lock, but only cured it for a very short time.

Fired a heap of WD40 into it using the straw attachment while pushing the lock closed with a screwdriver, then opening with handle loads of times which has made it a bit better.

On advice from a mate who had the same problem on his RS6, I tried adjusting the catch outwards a wee bit to see if that helped, as it had worked on his, but no joy.

I reckon that if the door card was taken off, and the mechanisims given a good lube it would sort it without having to buy a new lock, but don't have the time to do this at the moment.

Car is being sold with the BBS alloys as in pics.

Still have the standard RS6 wheels with tyres in plus colour available to go with car, but £400 extra as I have a guy that's willing to pay that for them if car buyer does not want them.

Soo, I took a trip up to Scotland yesterday and drove this back last night. I must admit I have had alot of buyer's remorse since doing the deal, everything keeps telling me this is a bad idea (and not just my wife) and I should have bought an A6 TDI. This is the 'family car' and needs to be on the road and sensible, after all. But replacing my RS2 for such duties is a tall order!! After a 440 mile return journey in a little over 6 hours...

Do I love the car? Hell yes!
Will I regret buying it? Probably.
Do I regret it now? Not a chance!

And I haven't even seen how sexy my garage is going to look with this parked up next to my RS2. Livin' the dream...

Oh and I was very concerned about the non-res Miltek on cruise, it's got no drone issues whatsoever and sounds like a big-cat purr on cruise. Anyone with the resonated version (or dare I say it stock) - get it sorted, you are missing out!
