I'm putting the feelers out to see if anyone is interested on the forum before having the car detailed and putting it on PH.

It is with a heavy heart that I'm thinking about selling the car. It has been fabulous and one of the best cars I have ever owned. I'm not using it as much as I thought (usually commuting to the station in the week and once at the weekends to see my family) so I'm looking at down-sizing.

In my mind the most important bit is: FASH / Approved Audi Warranty until August 2014

I purchased this as an Approved Audi from Cheshire Oaks Audi – as such it was delivered after having a 145 point check and had just completed a major service at 58k miles. For piece of mind, I opted to extend the extremely comprehensive Audi Approved Warranty from 1 to 3 years before I took delivery – this is fully transferable to the next owner. I looked at many RS4s up and down the country before I eventually found this one on my doorstep! It was the only one which had the right history/options (including comfort seats + rear blinds), was in immaculate condition and had a worthwhile warranty.

Garaged every night, detailed on a regular basis and run almost exclusively on Shell Optimax. I do not smoke or own dogs.

All service documentation and receipts since my ownership are available along with the original purchase invoice from Cheshire Oaks Audi and all MOTs.

Bump + reduced price on PH to £22,995. I will put on 12 months MOT prior to buyer collecting the car.

Well, a few people have expressed an interest on the car, but no one has yet come to view the car - most of the buyers seem to be 'down south'.

I am a little surprised that it hasn't been sold. Do you think 22.5k is the right price? I figure slightly higher miles vs the warranty + excellent condition = about the right asking price, but would welcome any comments (I know its a double edged sord of a question with buyers thinking it should be cheaper / owners wanting to prop up prices). Are my adverts bad? Too much / too little info / pics?

I think the price is fair given the condition.

I guess that the lack of bucket seats and flat-bottomed steering wheel might be reducing your audience a bit, but more likely than not its just that the market for big engined/high road tax cars is on its arse. The only cars that seem to be shifting are those that are really cheap (some might say the "right" price!) and also the really clean low-mileage cars.

Stick with it, I'm sure the right buyer will come along, it may just take some time.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.

Just decided that my lovely old Ford ST220 needs moving on and replacing with something a little more silly. I've always hankered after the Audi A4 Avant shape and the RS4 seems to have all the credentials that I'd love to have for my next car. I've done some cramming on the RS4 over the last few days and I agree with the comments on this and other forums that buying a car from one of the forum members makes a lot of sense. I fully appreciate that this car is quite specialist in nature and it would be very easy to buy a heap of problems, expensive ones at that.......

So, I'm another guy from down south I'm afraid, so meeting up for a viewing could be a challenge. However, I do work in Swindon in the week so it may be possible to meet you in Reading if you are down in the near future ?
