FOR SALE: AUDI RS6 AVANT, 4.2 L V8 BI TURBO.
For very reluctant sale due to new house purchase (only had it 3 months). 2003 Audi RS6 Avant, metallic grey with black Recaro leather seats (silver piping). All usual extras such as ew, em, abs, front and rear parking sensors, sat nav, heated seats, cruise control, I phone car kit.
In superb condition, current mileage is 101,000 miles (will go up as used daily).
No DRC to worry about as running quality H&R coilovers. Gearbox operates as it should so nothing to worry about there. Lots of history with the car from MRC Tuning, Unit 20, Audi dealers and independents. Properly looked after car.
All electrics work, £6k recently spent at RS6 specialist Unit 20 to bring it up to my standard, works carried out includes,
• Full engine and gearbox service
• Full health check
• Reconditioned intercoolers fitted
• Hotchkiss ARB kit fitted
• New rear disks
• New rear brake caliper
• New rear brake pads
• New fuel pump
• New front wishbones and bushes
• New OS CV boot
• New gearbox output shaft and seal
All of this work came to £4500, I have receipts for all work carried out, all work was carried out by the RS6 specialist Unit 20 (look on rs246.com – they know they’re stuff) and was done when I bought the car, which was at 97500 miles.
Recently I have had the following work carried out (Friday 13th Jan)
• Full engine diagnostic
• Replace mid right rear parking sensor
This work was £244.00 and will also result in a new ABS control unit being fitted again at Unit 20 on Saturday 21st Jan, the cost of the component is £1381 without labour to fit it. I could have opted for a reconditioned unit which would’ve been cheaper but I would rather make sure it is done properly.
As you can see this car has been looked after and any issue has been sorted, it drives flawlessly and handles great with the ARB and H&Rs fitted.
Come and have a look, ANY inspection welcomed.
Bad Points are as follows:
• Trim around the Sat Nav screen is missing (simple EBay item)
• Has been recorded as stolen so is registered as a CAT D for this reason only (stolen/recovered). There was no damage to the car. Only recorded as Cat D because the previous owner had gone out and bought another (lucky him). This is reflected in the price.
Don’t take a chance with these cars, sure you could buy a non CAT D for £13500 but still end up spending 6k sorting the same parts that I have had done! Car drives great and I would encourage any one interested to come and view or give me a call. I have plenty of time to chat to genuine buyers. If we hadn’t sorted a fab deal on a new house this car would be going no where!! But unfortunately you can’t have everything!
