I'm looking for a 57 reg saloon in MINT condition, preferably one owner with full main dealer documented Audi service history, with low mileage.

Must haves;
Audi colour navigation plus, FBSW, bucket seats (inflatable bolsters), non solar sunroof, 19" alloys, adaptive zenons, bose upgrade, DRC replaced, if early 07 car, discs pads tyres and bodywork in excellent condition.

Even better;
Ceramic brakes,Glass sunroof, not solar, digital tv, bluetooth with phone in centre armrest, 6 cd autochanger and/or i pod connection, carbon trim, auto boot, no phone cradle on dash.

If you, or anyone you know, is thinking of selling a car as described in the near future, i don't mind waiting.

I am a private buyer with cash waiting and will pay a "very" fair price, in the current economic climate, for the car that ticks all the right boxes.
Please pm me if you have what i'm looking for including as much info as possible including, if possible, some photos, and a guide price you're looking for.

Many thanks

Thanks, and 1 major correction you've missed, yours is a 56 plate not a 57.

I was looking at a mint 6,000 mile 07 one Graeme, but the guy wouldn't budge on £31,500, £4,000 over the top even with it's mileage IMO

They're coming onto PHs and Autotrader all the time, i'm just going to be patient, they'll drop another few hundred quid in Glass's and Cap next month.

Another guy wanted £30.000 for an 07 with 45k and FOUR previous owners !!!!

The owners need to realise even the last ones produced are now 4 years old

Victor,

Have you looked at Audi dealers? They are quite helpful and can look out for one for you. I looked at private and other dealers, but ended up buying from Audi. The price I paid was still cheaper than some private adverts out there and I extended the 1 year Approved Audi warranty to 3 years. Mine had been on the forecourt for a month up at over £3k more and they just wanted to move it on at the end of the day.

Best of luck with the search!

Hi Dutch,

Yes i've been looking at the Audi website every week but i don't think they're too fussy about what they put on their forecourt and what they trade

after reading some of the posts on here !!

"Everything comes to he who waits" :bigblink:

I can really only go on what I viewed at Audi - 2 out of 3 were immaculate and 2 of those were 'un-prepared'.

I also looked at RS4s going through auction - spotted one which looked ideal, but after doing some digging around worked out that it was being disposed of by an Audi main dealer garage. It had been through a pre-inspection prep at the garage (circa £1k) and then they decided to bung it into Auction which was strange so I didn't go for the car because I guessed that something may not have been right with the car. I'm sure it will be up on Autotrader as 'immaculate' with a non-Audi dealer somewhere now...

What I will say about buying an Audi Approved is that you do get a 30-day / 1000 mile return guarantee if you don't like it or have any issues with it and the Audi warranty is probably one of the best ones out there. My car was an ex-Audi lease car delivered and serviced through the same grarge and it the owner had just updated his car after 4 years. Just been serviced, new tyres (no dodgy makes either), near immacualte inside and out, next service free, 12 months tax and I paid an extra £1k to extend the warranty for a further 2 years (if you want to extend the warranty at the end of the 12-month free warranty period is costs over £1k each additional year so it worked out cheaper) - so if I decide to sell in 2 years then presumably mine would look pretty good with a transferrable warranty.

I don't know what others have said on the forum about buying from main dealers - but at the end of the day, if there are problems at least you can dump the car back with them to sort out. I've never bought a car from a main dealer and can honestly say that the service has been pretty spot on and the car (so far) seems to have been good value and a good buy. (BTW - I'm not being paid a commission by Audi for saying this...)
