//////////////////////////

My 3rd B7 RS4.

Having never felt like I had truly scratched the itch, when the opportunity to own a supercharged version presented itself, I pounced on it.

She’s an absolute monster and I’ve never experienced anything quite like it.
However, time to move her on to the next custodian…

This car has been fastidiously maintained by all 4 previous owners, myself included, with over £40,000 of documented spend to prove as such.

This car has had a huge amount of work carried out on it in both performance terms, and as part of planned maintenance. The majority of which has been carried out in the last 5000 miles. Supercharger aside, a lot of the value of this car lies in its comprehensive maintenance and service history.

SUPERCHARGER

A TTS Supercharger was fitted by MRC in 2021 @121,927 miles (only 4100 miles covered since install). The car was dyno’d @ 605ps & 617nm.

The stage III supercharger conversion included uprated fuel pumps (both low and high pressure), new OEM coilpacks, new spark plugs, full carbon clean, new injectors, new spark plugs, new upgraded oil cooler and lines, all transmission and differential oils replaced, new coolant tank, etc. The conversion alone on the MRC website is priced at £20,000+.

A full valved milltek exhaust system (downpipes and cat back) with black tips was installed for supercharging.

Supercharger service carried out in July 2024.

The performance is night and day when compared to a standard RS4. Driving ‘normally’ you wouldn’t notice the difference, but when you open her up it’s quite incredible. 3rd gear above 4000 rpm is seriously impressive. Throttle response in ‘s’ mode is borderline neck breaking and the burbles and pops on the engine overrun are very pleasing on the ear.

CLUTCH

Full clutch system replacement in July 2023@123,100 (3000 miles covered since install).

This included a new OEM dual mass flywheel, Ringer Racing Stage III + cerametalic racing clutch (built by clutchmasters), new slave cylinder, new master cylinder, clutch switches, braided hoses and pipe replacement.

It’s an incredible clutch and a superior upgrade to the Sachs racing clutch that I inherited. It handles the power so well, with zero judder or stiffness and feels about as OEM as can be.

BRAKES, TYRES & WHEELS

In preparation for supercharging a brake overhaul was carried out @121,326 (4800 miles covered since install)

This included increased diameter 380mm Brembo Gran Turismo discs at the front, OEM Brembo rear discs and yellow stuff pads all round. Discs are immaculate with barely any wear lip on show on any disc (see pics). These front discs retail at £1400 before labour to install..

Recently refurbished 19” lemans alloy with carbon fibre centre caps in unmarked condition

Michelin pilot super sports on all corners with plenty of tread.

SUSPENSION

The problematic DRC has been replaced with a set of Billstein B14 coil overs, so no need to worry about that ticking time bomb.

Most of the suspension components have been replaced. Please see the photo of the underside of the car which shows its condition.

Components replaced Include:

- All lower suspension arms
- Upper suspension arms/control arms
- Roll bar links
- Meyle anti roll bar
- Bushes

OTHER

Mechanically, this car is in extremely good condition. Likewise the bodywork suggests a car that has been well loved and garaged for a lot of its life.

Naturally there is the odd stone chip to the front portion of the car and light marks on the paintwork, which you would expect from a 17 year old car that has been enjoyed by its previous owners. Likewise, some perfectly normal wear on the gear stick and on the s button, etc.

The wingbacks are immaculate, with the driver side seat having been reupholstered. As such there so there is no wear to the bolsters as is common with these seats.

New Starter motor and battery in Feb 2024

Replacement front door cards to refresh interior

Original RNSE with sat nav discs.

2 x Keys (one requires recoding to sync with immobiliser)

HISTORY

The first lady owner put 83,000 miles on the car in the first 4 years of its life.

Between her 2010 and 2016 the car covered 37,000 miles and in the last 10 years, the car has not even covered 20,000 miles. All service history is either at Audi main dealerships, or MRC.

In 2016 the car was purchased by a gentleman who meticulously maintained and restored the car and is responsible for the much of the comprehensive work to the car including suspension overhaul, upgraded brakes, reupholstered seats, replacement door cards and supercharger conversion to name but a few. During his ownership the car travelled a mere 1800 miles, yet the gentleman spent £25,000 + on the car.

I understand that he very sadly passed away without getting to enjoy the cars potential, before it found its way to me.

PRICE & BUYING

Car is priced at a firm £31,550.

I am in no rush whatsoever to sell the car and am very fortunate that I am not financially tied to this car in any way.

Proof of funds required prior to viewing and test drives are strictly by myself.

Respectfully, no group viewings.

Any questions, ask away.

Many thanks.

Umm, wow. That’s quite the thing! I was also very lucky to be right place right time and purchase a very fastidiously cared for C5 RS6. This one sounds like a superb example and looks brilliant.
What are the performance figures out of interest? 605ps must feel pretty lively.
GLWS what a machine.

Thanks.

Honestly, I’m not sure. On their website TTS quote a 0-60 of 3.4 seconds. However, having been through a clutch in my ownership I’ve never launched it!

It’s a joy to drive though. Makes an already brilliant car… unbeatable.

Yes I can imagine and that’s the problem when you are chasing big power figures-it can cause all manner of other issues on other component parts. Bet it sounds glorious though. For not much money a Milltek on a V8 makes a huge difference (as opposed to dropping say, £7-9k on an Akrapovic).

Amazing pictures, amazing write up and an amazing car. The advert is a credit to you because 90% of people cannot be bothered when selling a car which I never understand. If all adverts were written like this the used car market would be a better place frankly. It looks more Nogaro than Sprint Blue in the pictures - must just be the lighting/camera?

I would be seriously interested in this if it wasn't for the mileage. The impeccable history does, in a way, make the mileage irrelevant, but buying with the mileage it's on and then enjoying the car for a few years I can't help but feel I'd suddenly find myself with a 150k mile charged RS4 which won't be easy to sell IMO, certainly not for anything near the price paid.

Best of luck with the sale.

I would say particularly cared for known forum cars will probably sell on the same forum. I bought a very well known C5 RS6 with the same level of care and attention from the previous owner (who fortunately is still among us unlike the OP’s car), forum members on here will appreciate the level of care and also asking price as I dare say as soon as OP puts it up on A/T half the Midlands will call him up and offer him half the amount…

Thanks very much.

I totally hear you. I’m always staggered by people who sell these kind sale cars but omit any sort of detail. Your selling an 18 year old car and so the history is the only thing that counts, yet some people will just write a 5 line ad, finished with ‘I know what I’ve got..’

That’s great, now could you please tell us what you’ve got! People who also omit mileage too is shamefully often.

I genuinely think there is a good business model in buying decent cars that sellers do a horrible job of selling and then reselling but properly with a small mark up..

I hear what you’re saying about the mileage. Certainly a consideration when I bought it (was on 122k when I bought it), but as with this one and my previous b7 I always buy the history. Also, tends to be slim pickings what it comes to SC versions unless you want to sink £20k + into doing it yourself..

I hope it went to a good home and you got close to the asking price for it. Amazing car. I'll keep longing for a lower mile one and in the meantime regret not buying this one :D

It did. It actually sold ages ago, I just forgot to update this thread until someone messaged me to enquire about its availability!

I did get good money for it and it’s now living in Ireland in the hands of a real car enthusiast. Poor chap and to suck up some major import duty, but knew it would be worth it!

If whoever brought this into Ireland ends up roaming around these forums I'd really appreciate, even by PM, letting us know what the import and VRT ended up being and whether it was what was quoted or individually assessed.

As some of you know we get absolutely hammered on vehicle tax in Ireland and I've one or two good friends who'd be interested in bringing in an RS4 or RS6 if it has gotten more reliable in terms of quotes versus assesments. Thanks! And congrats on the sale - car is a fine specimen.
