Have an order on a new C8... though tempted with Taycan 4S and moving to the dark side....

Heads up for those selling their cars - - - I'm sure you are all cautious but wanted to remind peeps.
Mines up on Ebay too and have had the usual "will you take a 120kmiler A4 and £5k cash too" or I want to buy it but it's too expensive, will I take £44k!! The one that does concern me, is I had a what appeared to be on the surface a genuine Ebay message from a guy called "Nick" who worked in Saudi and wanted to ship the car back there. Agreed the price.....then alarms bells rang.
1. Didn't want to see the car before sending money
2, Wanted to send his driver?? WTF to look the car over before sending any money as he takes the advice of his driver who "manages his estate"
Told him I wanted at the very minimum, a linked in profile, Social media presence of both him and his driver before disclosing location of vehicle - to which he replied " behave - less is more" whatever the fook that means....
Little digging on his Ebay profile reveals this....so he is either 17 years old and living in fantasy land or is thinking I am a muppet who is taken in by the " I'll pay in 24hrs, don't need to see the car, just send me the address of where the car is kept" -

I guess I'm saying vigilance is a must and to trust no one - sad reflection of the times. Shame it's not like it used to be back in the day.

If it sounds too good to be true.....

Trust absolutely no one, genuine people will bend over backwards to prove they are exactly that

This is why I sold mine through a dealer (sale or return). I paid about £1300 for the pleasure of not having to do anything other than drop the car off and then let the dealer deal with finance, part ex and dreamers etc.

What Mike said, that’s what I’m doing.
Mine is on here and all we’ve had so far is a trade enquiry at 41k.
