Porsche 911 997 possible trade for RS4 B8

Hi everyone. I have just signed up as a member here but have been browsing the site for a few weeks now.
Previous Audi owner (2008 A6 Le Mans saloon, one of the best cars I have owned) but now have a Porsche 911 997 as my 'second car'.

This is probably a long shot but I am considering selling/trading the 997 in a few months, its currently stored until March. I will then get it out, give it a fresh oil and filter service plus MOT and start looking for a B8 RS4.

I purchased the 997 about a year ago now, it took me 4 months and a 600 mile round trip to find one as good as this. It has low miles (62k), packed full of extras and the all important engine rebuild plus other upgrades (Oil fed IMS) just 3000 miles ago/18 months, all work carried out at Portiacraft who the car came from and has been bought/sold there twice over the years so they know the car.

Below is a list of the main points rather than waffling on, if there is anyone interested in a deal against an RS4 please get in touch. I am not in a rush to get rid of the 997 so even if its in 3-6 months that works for me. I only have the one pic for now but I can send as many as you want when its back on the road in 5 weeks.

- 2005 (54/lower tax)
- 3.8 Carrera S
- 62,700
- Manual
- 4/5 previous owners (need to check but I think it is 4)
- Guards red - Immaculate, I had it detailed last year and will again before sale
- 19" multi spoke wheels
- 4 near new tyres
- FSH - Will come with a fresh service from Porsche specialist
- ** Engine rebuild 3000 miles ago by Portia craft, new cranks and cylinders re-lined, plus a few other odd jobs while engine was out**
- Upgraded oil fed IMS done while engine was rebuilt
- Plenty of extras like Sat-Nav, Sport seats, Chrono plus pack, Bose, Alcantra headlining, head light washers, phone connectivity.

In the last year the coil pack has been changed, new suspension bump stops & new AC condenser plus a couple more jobs (wear and tear items).
Big folder going back years with a details history, receipts, old MOT, old sales receipts and of course a full engine rebuild receipt.

Lovely example of a 997 which is actually increasing in value, as mentioned I am not in a rush to sell so looking for the right deal otherwise I will keep it and buy a cheap-ish estate car to use.

The original rear lights will be fitted but I can include the Gen 2 lights (pictured) for a bit extra.

Getting this out sooner than planned and it is booked in for an oil & filter change at my local specialist in 2 weeks.

If anyone is interested in a deal against a B8 RS4 in the coming weeks/months feel free to get in touch otherwise I will sell privately.
Seems to be a buyer market on the RS4's at the moment with a couple I am watching getting reduce in price.

Thanks

his 3.8 might book at 18k but they are worth a few quid particularly with a rebuilt motor tbh
i am not sure what its worth but 18k for a low mile 3.8 .....shove a few my way[usually have to shove anyway as they are a tad prone to engine failure :boohoo: ]

nice porker op-i only ever had a 911sc and its one of the few cars i wish i kept-and you can but ask

Ha. Porker owner get an RS4 welcome!
Agreed, you'd only look at one with the liners and IMS done. At least it's not silver...

It would be the full car mate as it has just sold for £28,000. :bigwave:

£18k maybe book price for a poor example with no service history but even then I am still yet to see one sell for that. Poor example with 100k on the clock are fetching £20k+.
I was offered £25k from a 991 dealer down south so feel my asking price of £28,900 was fair and dealt at £28,000.
