Regardless of miles (within reason go for one with these fixed rather than the miles) they will all suffer the same age related issues;

1: dissimilar material corrosion on oil cooler fittings.
2: corrosion of the mild steel DRC lines (up behind the undertrays)

I assume he doesn't need one now as his mate has just purchased a forum car.

Mine will be up for sale when I'm back from my holiday.

It's a one owner Phantom Black saloon with 47,750 miles, full Newcastle Audi service history (9 stamps). Just had the DRC mild steel lines replaced and being recharged at the dealers. I not happy with Newcastle Audi this time as they doesn't seems to know how to recharge the system anymore and they've now told me the nearside front struts is leaking, so that will be replaced as well.

Hello, My B7 Avant is about to go up for sale, 40,000 miles 2 owners, Mugello Blue, All Audi then MRC service history, bucket seats, Carbon inlays, MRC stage 2 map, everything else standard. Wheels superb conditiopn, some stone chips to front bumper, I was going to blow bumper bonnet over but figured that sometimes asks more questions. I'm looking for £25,000 open to offers, also have a full set of Audi winter rims and Nokian snow tyres.

So went with my mate to buy the b7 with 30k miles on the clock.
Exaust flaps were seized and jammed so he left it.
Considering he was paying 26k for it he was expecting a clean example with no faults at all.
Anyway looking for a clean example.

Prefabally a mugello saloon.

Anyone...

Which car did he look at, the Red saloon?

Exhaust flaps are a common thing and can be sorted easily enough, so if that was the only problem I wouldn't let it put you off. However, if buying an advertised 'great' example, then I certainly wouldn't be happy. So would expect it to be sorted before collection or suitable money taken off the asking price.

Exhaust claps is minor, pretty standard and able to be rectified cheaply and quickly. If everything was right with the car, surely you'd just specify it needs resolving before the sale? Must be more to it than that. If not, then I think he'll be disappointed. Cars with really low mileage are going to have been stood and could have other issue from not being run. Equally, rubbers are going to perish regardless of mileage, etc.

Buy one of the lower mileage forum cars. A few here have been suggested that will likely be in fine fettle.
