2003 AUDI RS6 QUATTRO, C5, 605 BHP Stage 3 Spec with MRC TUNING, GEARBOX FAULT

Before you read the information about the AUDI RS6, I've have just spend in the last 8months £2,000 sorting everything out on the car. ABS control module, Lamba Sensors, Suspension arms replaced which ones needed replacing and much more.

I haven't even drove the car for 8months, when it was finally ready to come out of the garage they phoned me and said there was a issue with Gearbox and it was driving but not changing gears properly etc.

The Garage then sent the Audi RS6 to a Gearbox specialist which then strip the Gearbox down and said the casing was smashed inside and wasn't worth repairing the gearbox then said i need to get another one and they could swap certain parts over from this gearbox. So now it is up for sale with a Gearbox fault.
i have spent thousands on this car but it has come to a point where i can't spend no more and it must go.

Stage 3 engine spec with MRC
The gearbox rebuild was handled by a ZF UK authorised partner, Sussex Auto Transmissions.
The upgraded torque converter was built up at A.C.E. in the USA and featured a standard stall speed but rated to handle 750ft lbs.

The spare valve body was sent to 517 Trans in the USA and they rebuilt the VB to provide increased line pressure and reduced the operating tolerances for quicker shifting etc. To have solid transmission for the car

After the car completed a run-in with the new manifolds and turbos, it was tuned by MRC and made 605PS 846Nm. The car has covered 35,000 miles since the upgrades and gearbox rebuild, the trans fluid, filter and pickup tray have been changed 3 times during this period without any noticeable swarf or fluid discolouration.

TCU map with raised rev limit and lower RPM TC lock up

517 Trans uprated valvebody

The other bits:

Some interior trim buttons are a little worn but nothing major, leather is in top condition, always used liquid leather.
Cam belt done MRC 2012 at 105,000miles.
MOT due 31/01/2017.

Epic car, but if it didn't sell for £9k when fully working I think you'll struggle to get what you're asking now.

UPDATE: The Gearbox on the car can be RECONDITION, just spoke to the Gearbox Specialist and he said its a common problem with these RS6, the drum in the middle of the Gearbox goes. there no other damage and has quoted me £3,000 to Recondition the Gearbox but i haven't got the money to do it.

The car is derivable but not ideal for long journey, it will need recovering away.
