C5 RS6 for sale

Post by neilaudirs6 » Sat Jul 23, 2016 6:43 am

For Sale is my Audi RS6 Avant, MTM, 4.2 V8 Bi Turbo, Daytona Grey pearl paint with full black leather heated and electric Recaro seats. 101,000 miles, service history with lots of receipts that I just purchased a week a go ! for me it has too much that needs doing to bring it up to the standard that I would like. The first question will be .... "So why did you buy it" .... Im a man of my word and read an advert paid a deposit and went and collected the car the next day.. just as I said I would ..after being able to get the car on a ramp and go right through it, I feel it needs to much right now for "me" to be happy with the car

The RS6 has been remapped by MTM to 500 bhp (receipt present) at 99,369 miles.. The work was carried out at QST (Kim Collins) and includes a gearbox remap at the same time. Whilst having the work done the gearbox oil and filter have been changed for piece of mind. At the same visit a brand new N/S intercooler was fitted due to a small air leek when tested, total invoice £1753.09.

Two major flaws of the RS6 (C5) have been addressed; the troublesome DRC suspension has been replaced and the gearbox has been reconditioned ( I have an Audi invoice to prove this).

The timing belt, water pump and associated pulleys have been changed recently at 93,561 miles on 03/02/2014 by a VAG specialist (invoice present).

The RS6 has all the usual refinements plus, Black Suede headlining, full black leather Recaro electric seats, heated front and rear seats, factory tinted B post back windows (not tinting film) Audi Navigation Plus, Sunroof, Bose sound system.

Bad points: Front bumper has a crack in the lower part (see picture), Front bumper colour not an exact match, CD changer requires a magazine sourcing and new batteries are required for the remote keys. There is a I Phone 4 lead fitted in the glove box instead of using the CD changer.

Sadly the car is listed as a category C vehicle, it had been stolen and recovered with localised damage to the front bumper, February 2015. A HPI check also shows its recorded as category D in 2008 (12/04/2008) The low asking price reflects the above.

What it needs in my eyes

rear exhaust cracked ( v slight blow)
tyres
n/s/f 3.65mm
o/s/f 2.47mm
o/s/r 2.7mm
n/s/r 2.3 mm
Alternator bearings noisy (ive sourced replacement alternator £160+v)
o/s/f intercooler leaking
suspension is S6 shocks and rs6 springs (needs coilovers)
front bumper cracked and incorrect colour
oil cooler piping incorrect
central locking via remote inop (maybe ccm)
aux belt tension adjustment nut broken (automatic tensioner though)
N80 valve fault has been present once (replacement £80 can supply)
Nav unit malfuctioning
o/s/r lamp lens has a minor crack
o/s/r wheel has been repaired
n/s/r wheel has a slight dent (minor)
under trays missing
general underside componets corroded from living in stirling (scotland) before

its had 10 owners 11 now , there is a lot of history , gearbox work at audi totalling 4 grand at 83 or 87k , cam belt has been done plenty of time on that and the MTM remap and replacement n/s intercooler + gearbox service at QST kim collins totalling £1800

I'm a fussy ******* I look after another Rs6 for a customer and I kinda expected this to be like his (this is much faster) but as he's owned his forever its a well sorted gem

if you need any more info just shout

If the car doesn't sell as a whole Asking price £5700 - I may break and will make a list of wanted parts and parties however I would rather the car go to someone who can devote the time (and cash to getting it back to where it should be )

I'm sad that you can't get her up to your standards, it always seems a shame to take a C5 off the road. GLWS i hope someone takes the car on and brings it up to standard and I hope you don't loose too much money. I had a similar problem with a C6 once, dogs exist in all makes and models people say that they're bullet proof they're not. I hope you get back on the RS horse one day soon?

If you do break I will have the rear view mirror of its the automatic one and working.

They are bullet proof as long as well maintained which quite a few seem to be suffering from

Don't want to break the car but I will to recoup my money spent , gearbox is great and has receipt work from audi , engine is good pulls strong with the mtm remap.

not sure what the current rate is for breaking parts off these vehicles so I guess I will have to auction most of it

the whole car will be going on eBay tomorrow first though

Reducing the price on this to get it sold rather than break , although my list of jobs to be done will put some off just it is still a great car to drive and very fast

Happy to talk to anyone offering above the 5k mark
