C6 RS6 Avant in Mugello Blue, 2008, 58 plate

It's with a very heavy heart that I offer my RS6 up for sale. Basically it isn't getting the use it deserves and it saddens me to see it spend most of its time sitting in the garage. As some of you may know I split up from my misses last year so I've had to reassess my finances and as much as I would like to keep this car on, it's not not making any sense if it's not being used. I've bought myself a Mini for commuting in so I'm not after any trades etc. just a straight sale.

I'm thinking £24,500 is a fair price for the condition but happy to listen and I would very much like to see it go to a forum member. It's been well looked after, full Audi service history and kept in a garage all the time it's not in use. During the low use periods it was still used at least once a month for a decent run so it has't sat for too long. Just been serviced, MOT'ed and had new front pads & disks fitted. Also new headlight unit fitted due to a faulty control module.

Anyone looking please bear in mind I've just spent over £4K on servicing, paint work, front disks & pads plus headlight replacement to make sure it's wanting for nothing and good to go I you think I've over priced, try me

This is currently sitting unused in my garage which is a real waste of a car like this. Would love it to move on to another enthusiast so really don't want to advertise on other sites. The car has been well maintained and just had a lot spent on it so there shouldn't be any surprise bills for the new owner.

Have you had much interest?

This is just my 2 pennies worth but it may be to do with the DMS remap putting people off as many people may steer clear unless it's been 'mapped by MRC, just due to repertoire.

Have you had the oil seal or coolant lines replaced at all?

I bought a car with a Superchips map and I've already booked a slot with MRC to take it to Stage 2 along with a gearbox map as secondary decats have been installed and I don't trust the Superchips map.

Just my opinion of course.

Thanks for the feedback but confused by the DMS map comment as the car has no map and I can't see where I've indicated otherwise in the advert The only after market engine mods are the ITG filters and Miltek cat back system which together with running on Tesco Momentum fuel have produced 600hp which I would say indicates a good healthy engine as they are rated at 572hp

I hate the fact I'm selling this without doing the things I wanted but to be honest right now it doesn't make sense for me so I would rather the car went to someone who will drive it and get the enjoyment from it once more.

Errrr....... I was clearly getting confused with the other classifieds ad I've just read, so sincere apologies for that.

Well I'm not sure why it's hanging around but you're not alone. My 520d Touring I'm currently trying to shift has caught the eye of only time wasters and to be honest, I thought it would have sold fairly quickly. Apparently this time of year during summer holidays can take a little longer to shift cars, so hopefully they both sell soon.

Car is getting stage 2 detailed tomorrow so will get some more pics up once this has been done

The car has been fully stage 2 detailed today which is the following;

Vallet;
Snowfoam pre-wash, rinsed, then soaped off using high quality Lambs wool long pile wash mitt to prevent scratching, rinsed off, then coated in a hydrophobic coating and hand dried using high quality Microfibre towels with a spray wax to ensure paintwork is kept in the best possible condition. all door shuts are cleaned and dried. Wheels are also cleaned using a high quality PH balanced Iron remover, removing baked on brake dust and road grime whilst protecting the wheels then tyres dressed in a lasting tyre gel.

Interior then is emptied of Rubbish and personal Items, all matts removed, brushed off, and vacuumed, the entire interior is then thoroughly vacuumed and all cup holders, dash joins and vents brushed out whilst hoovering to insure all dust is removed. all plastic and trims are then cleaned using our safe, high quality cleaners. all glass is cleaned and polished inside and out. And if required a refreshing air and fabric freshener is then applied.

Stage 1;
Includes all of the In and Out Valet procedures, except, when the car has been washed and dried, we then remove all road tar and contaminates using Glue and Tar remover on the stubborn parts and then the whole car is Clay Barred removing all contaminates and foreign bodies from the paint work, making it silky smooth, and then the Car is sealed with a polymer sealant and then finished in our High Quality "Britemax Vantage Wax" leaving a deep shine and a lasting coat of protection.

Stage 2;
Involves all the carefull processes of the Stage 1 Detail, but after the car has been thoroughly de-contaminated, the paint work is then assessed, and then machine polished to remove any minor swirls and fine scratches, restoring your paint works deep shine. and the car is sealed in our "Britemax Extreme Elements" polymer sealant then finished with two coats of our high Quality "Britemax Vantage Wax" leaving a deep shine and lasting protection.

Therefore the car is now at a really good level of cleanliness with paint protection for the new owner. Maintaining this should be fairly easy going forward with just a decent Detailer valeting once a month if needed.
