SOLD - RS6 C5 Avant - Misano Red - New Brakes & Tyres

Hi all,

Here for sale is my beloved and very well looked after 2003 Audi RS6 Avant.

I am looking for £11,495 or a very near offer.

The only reason for sale is that I am now facing the reality that I need to raise some cash for a mortgage deposit and require a car that's cheaper to run.


The car is in fantastic condition - inside and out.

Drives and stops brilliantly - has just been serviced and had new front brakes and tyres all round (see below)

The car is stored at my home address in South Manchester - close to the Trafford Centre.

I purchased the car at the end of January from a fellow forum user, that post can be seen here;

I drove the car for 3 months as a second car and put just over 4K miles on her in that time and have been driving daily since start of June.

Mileage is now just over 92K and rising slightly.

Although I do not have access to a garage for storage - the car has been kept in an brand new size 4 outdoor CarCoon when not being used, which is available for sale at an additional cost - it was £500 new.

The car has always been hand washed and waxed by myself meticulously.

The car is on an 03 plate and was first registered on 12 May 2003

It has MOT until 31st of October 2016.

There have been 7 previous owners to myself, with the previous owner to me keeping and cherishing the car for 6 years - ChrisRS6

I have the full V5 registered in my name and address, a folder full of history (below), the original Audi manuals, folder and service book and 2 working keys.

The only modifications that have been done to the car from stock, to my knowledge, are;

Replacement GPS receiver that sits in the passenger corner of the dashboard, as the factory one is apparently no longer accurate.

DRC suspension removed and replaced with H&R coilovers - I do have adjusting spanners for these.

Dension 20 pin iPod connector in glovebox

Hi all,

The RS6 has now just clocked over 90K miles and shall be used daily for now, only doing approx. 10 miles per day due to my new job.

If it has not been purchased by the end of June, I shall get an interim service done, have the front brakes sorted and a full health check; all done by Audi Manchester.

I would be happy to take no less than £10K prior to this work being done.

One of the nicest RS6 Ive even seen, even just on the pictures. Looks amazing and sounds like a well sorted example. If only the VRT and insurance robbery in ROI wouldnt be present of I would find a way how to get this gem.

Now reduced to £10,000 or very near offer.

If not sold by the end of June, she will get brand new front brake pads and a interim service as at Audi and then price will rise accordingly.

The RS has now had new front discs, pads and an interim service at Manchester Audi at a cost of £1480!!

Tyres are at 5mm on the front and 4mm at the rear.

Full health check carried out by Manchester Audi, with nothing found wrong - no leaks or gremlins!

Mileage is currently 90,840 and rising.

Price is now £11,000 or very near offer.

Hi all,

Unfortunately, I got a puncture on a rear tyre and have managed to knacker the sidewall on it

But, it has now been booked in to have 4x brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres fitted on Tuesday 19th July, with 4 wheel tracking of course - at a cost of £750.

So it has now been serviced, had the front brakes replaced and shall now have 4 brand new tyres with alignment.

If wanted, the car will also come with the 3x remaining Bridgestone RE050A tyres - 2 from the front with 4mm and 1 from the rear with 5mm.

Everything sorted and ready to go to the new owner.

As said previously, I am in no rush to sell and shall continue to drive the car until a sale is agreed.

Quick update all;

Got the 4 new Michel Pilot Super Sports fitted on Monday 25th July and my opinion; WOW! The increase in grip and confidence given when going round corners at speed is night and day, when compared to the previous Bridgestone Potenzas.

I have also treated all of the exterior black plastic trim to a clean and coating of GTechniq C4 permanent trim restorer; this has given them a much better look from the slightly faded grey that they were, without having to re-spray/replace them. This is supposed to last over a year, according to online user reviews.

I have now also got GTechniq C5 on order, which also has good reviews, which is to be used to seal the wheels and make it a lot easier to remove brake dust and other dirt.

At some point, I shall probably make another thread with comparison pictures and the detailing that I have done/regularly carry out.
