Hi folks,

My beloved RS4 is for sale.

It's a late 57 plate with 45,950 miles in Avus Silver, carbon, buckets and all the extras. It's in lovely condition and has been looked after extensively, price is £23,500.

I'll add the advert detail to the thread tonight but in the meantime, here's the ad on Pistonheads below:

Might be worth correcting the full Audi service history description to save any further wasted time?

Good point - Loko you might want to make the history clear?

"Approved Used Car prep at Notttingham 40,041 miles on 4th August 2014"

Approved at Audi? As it hadn't been serviced for over two years, surely Audi serviced it?

To be clear the car has full Audi history, the Audi dealer that did the prep work to sell it as an approved used car told me that it would have had all the work required doing to it but there's no invoice record.
I am booking it in to have a 40k service to avoid any doubt.
To be clear the reason the buyer pulled out is because he hadn't cleared spending £23k with the wife and when she found out she wouldn't let him buy it.

The PH advert shows the below as the last three visits:

Minor at Cardiff Audi circa 33,521 miles on 11th June 2012
Approved Used Car prep at Notttingham 40,041 miles on 4th August 2014
Minor at Auto 100 circa 40,155 miles on 25th October 2014

Are Auto 100 an Audi dealer and did they service it last time around?

Before you book it in for a service, first I'd check if they stamped the book. If not, call them. :beerchug:

Am guessing you bought from them - Nottingham Audi August 2014?

They cannot possibly have sold an Audi Approved and NOT serviced it if the previous service was 2 years 2 months back

They're the prestige car dealer I bought it from. The did an oil change which is why I recorded it for information. It didn't need one since they'd been advised as had I, that Nottingham Audi dealer had conducted a major service as part of their Multi Point Check prep work for sale as an Approved Used Car.
If you class a full Audi Service History as only ever being serviced by Audi then you're right. My point was that the car had done all of its 'main' services at Audi. It's the same with my other cars in the past, I book the car in for a service at the dealer when it's due per the maintenance record and I take it for an oil service to my trusted independent in between that (i.e. every other 6ooo miles).

As mentioned I bought it from a prestige car dealer. As I said when I spoke to the chap from their service department in Dec 2014 when I purchased it, he said it would have been fully prepped but when I called today they informed me that they can't actually verify it on the system. It just says Used Car MPC on 18th July 2014 @ 40,041 miles.

So as mentioned, to avoid any doubt I am taking the car into my main dealer to have it's 40k major service (including plugs) that way buyers have full peace of mind.

You should have changed the spark plugs 3 years ago.
And it's an early 57 car (sep 2007). A late 57 would be jan / feb 2008.
And it should have had a major service no later than every 4 years. Your history says they were all minor.

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately I didn't own the car 3 years ago... As I said I was reassured it had done it's major service in August 2014. Now there's a question mark on what was exactly done at the time it's having it's major service regardless for peace of mind.
