So the time has come to sell my RS, not an easy task as I have become quite attached during the last year, if you’re reading this advert with the intention of purchasing and RS4 then I am probably preaching to the converted. I am planning to sell as I have my eyes on ‘a’ special something else.

Like most owners on here I have had quite a search to find the car I wanted and yet still had to compromise a little, in my case it was with the age and the owner count, the rest of the package was what I required. I travelled far and wide looking at miss-represented cars or undisclosed CAT D’s all very annoying. That is why I have tried to be as open and honest as I can. The car has a full Audi service history to my ownership and I decided that it would be best placed to continue with MRC.

So after living with car for a while and undertaking in my case the 3rd gear test probably rather unscientifically I realised the car could be quicker, so it was ‘off to MRC’ the only real choice after the reading the many positive comments on RS246.com They undertook a fair amount of work in the two visits this year, including a full health check and report.

The car was dyno’d at a lowly 363ps and after a bit of MRC magic and a stage two inlet manifold, a carbon clean and a remap the car has made 429ps the difference is night and day, if you are thinking of purchasing a car without this work done you should to factor in a few £K’s to get this work done.

Please check below to see the other items undertaken during my stewardship, these include but are not limited too, clutch and dual mass fly wheel, recondition of my gearbox, new brake pads, new rear springs, new long and short oil lines, power steering reservoir, air con pipe and reflash ECU with up-to-date software. I have a spare set of new rear disc’s and yellow stuff pads too. The odometer has just clicked over the 50k milestone and the next service is due in approx. 6k miles – see pictures. Both keys are present as is the file with receipts from the last few years together with manual and leather file. Previous owners - 6

I have spent more money than I care to add up, I guess at approaching £10k but my loss has been fun, I have enjoyed every pound, I cannot not think of anything this cars wants mechanically, the next few years should be trouble free motoring. Cosmetically I would have two wheels refurbished but this is just personal.

I have a garage opposite my house and would welcome any inspection, the car can be view on or off the ramp. I would also suggest if you are serious you call Ben at MRC to check and undertake your own research as to the cars health. I have a friend with a dealership so I may be able to take card payments too.

Exterior condition.

Two wheels could do with a refurbishment, my dear wife’s contribution to the cars history.
Minor age related stone chips on the front bumper
Rear of side bumper, shopping trolley scratch 40mm light scratch (as pic)
Otherwise great

Interior

A1 condition – Drivers seat bolster in great condition all air bags in seat work on sport button.

Tony, thanks for the kind comments. Yes it took a white to write but as I am sure that you and Sam understand if a jobs worth doing...it's worth doing well.

The loss is like losing a limb at the moment but of course this will diminish with time ...and when I start looking through the classifieds.

The guy came to Bristol on the train from Yorkshire and I hope he had a fantastic drive home, all four hours of it.

Gutted and happy all at once
