Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
I know this is like pissing in the wind but it's still worth a go.
I'm after a Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus avant.
Rare as rocking horse <beep> I know but i really want one to add to my stable.
Previous RS6 owner so I know my stuff and won't mess the seller around.

Very different to the RS6 but I really enjoy driving it.longman h wrote:How's life with the E63?
Economy is slightly worse (not that it matters) and the noise it makes, good god it sounds epic.
Re: Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
I have one that I might consider selling if I can find a replacement C6 RS6.
56K miles, it was Amars old car so lots of pictures on here. New discs and pads all round, MRC and Unit 20 history with a recent oil service, full milltek (no cats) and MRC remap.
Email me for more details - lucas@4starclassics.com
Cheers

I knew this car from 9000 miles as I knew the second owner who was a regular poster on here before Amar took over the helm. Very good example.

Re: Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
It is a very nice car but not willing to pay the same for it that I paid for my E63 AMG.
Re: Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
The sprint blue car on Autotrader has 5 previous owners and it looks like it might need some rear discs from the pictures. Worth a look to see if it's a good one or not.
I was at Brooklands historics on Saturday and a silver plus went through the auction, DRC leaking, new brakes needed, full audi dealer history (a positive for resale but intercoolers probably still leaking (no receipt for new ones or specialist history)). Cambelt due, paint work very poor and rust coming through on the OS rear arch. It went for 14K plus 10% buyers premium!

I'm not having a go, you are entitled to sell you car for what ever you like.
However my old RS6 I sold in November I will guarantee was in better nick mechanically and cosmetically than yours. I sold it for half the price due to twice the miles.
Problem is is that yours not far off C6 money so you will struggle.
The one posted above is fit for the bin.

Re: Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
Which one is fit for the bin, the autotrader one or the historics one?
I know you're not having a go, I wasn't considering selling mine so i'm not particularly motivated to move it on for "cheap". The autorader one is cheaper so why not have a look at that one? I was just giving examples of other comparables in the market currently.
How do you know yours was in better nick mechanically and cometically? Was it all original factory paint and detailed once a month by an in-house detailer? Maybe it is but we're not talking a side by side concours competition here. I would say for the majority of the market low mileage is king for value especially as cars get older and less available. You said it yourself, rare as rocking horse sh@t so if you want one you'll need to pay at least 14-15K currently, until you look at the one on Autotrader in person you won't know if you'll get a good one for that, that one at historics was 14K and was not a good one!
Not everyone wants a C6 RS6, look at E46 and E36 M3s compared to E30 M3s and pretty much every classic ferrari.
Good luck with the search, if I spot anymore I'll let you know.

Re: Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
A low mileage Sprint blue Plus will easily be a "classic"
Not in the purest of terms, like an RS2 for example, but certainly not far behind...perhaps abit like a mint Noggy B5....14yrs old and still commanding £15k is good going...so I imagine a Sprint Plus, mint and low mileage C5 would be £15k-£20k
Supply and demand.
Tiny supply, and tiny demand...but demand of a certain clientele.
The 2003 normal C5's raped and abused Barry boy cars with >100k will be sub £10k but that bears no relation to a mint low mileage sprint Plus.

Re: Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
Sorry are you calling my old RS6 a rapped
Barry boys <beep> box??????
There is no way a C5 RS6 is worth 20k unless it has lower than 20k on the clock no matter what the colour so you can forget all the supply and demand crap

Re: Sprint blue C5 RS6 plus estate wanted
If a ropey old silver plus needing 4-5Ks worth of work at 86K miles sells for 15.5K at auction then that for me is a good indicator of where the market is currently.
A 20K mile RS6 plus in sprint blue would be worth way over 20K GBP, I could sell something like that for 25K plus easily, pardon the pun
Have you called up about the autotrader car?
