Will pay £17,500 if in the right condition must have the following:-

- Registered before 23/03/2006
- Up to 80k on clock.
- Bucket seats
- Silver trim round side windows must be un-water marked/un-damaged by improper cleaning product usage
- Sports steering wheel with S button that operates drivers seat support and butterfly valves in exhaust. Must be working should be a click and definite change in
exhaust note when operated.
- DVD sat nav
- Black leather interior with aluminium or carbon fibre inlays
- up to 3 previous owners including current owner
- Full Main Dealer Service History, the more you have on terms of Audi main dealer invoices the better
- Must be original/unmodified (no performance exhaust, remapping etc.)
- Will travel up to 150 miles from Cambridge to collect
- Must have years MOT and minimum of 5000 miles till next service
- Will want to speak with Audi garage where it was last serviced and get AA to check over.
- Car in general and body work/alloys must be in excellent/near mint condition

Try to split that list into a 'Must haves' and 'Nice to haves'.

Forget the AA inspection, you'd be be better off asking the seller to take it into his local Audi dealer for a free health check, and spending the money saved on a wheel refurb, who cares if the service is 5,000 miles away or 100 miles away as long as it is reflected in the price?

Lol, yes I have been a bit specific, I'll put that down to used car salesman getting me to drive halfway across the country to see something that isn't as described. Not sure why I'm surprised at some used car salesman not being entirely honest? The other reason I'm being quite specific is I'm still sore from my Red RS4 being stolen 4 weeks ago. v sad! miss her a lot!

Good point re the free health check wasn't sure if they were still doing this, suppose its a win win for them to offer this.

Lol , if your after cheap road tax they are slightly thin on the ground , I fell for that one then gave up as I was more concerned getting a mechanically sound car although one of the flaps was stuck big time so have been binned off much to my satisfaction

i currently own a misano red Rs4 that i am thinking of selling. pm me for details. it is the cheaper road taxed one that you are looking for

£17.5k!? I just received £17,450 from insurance right off and mine is the same spec you described (except not for sale and water marked external alloy trim). I fear you'll need more than £17.5k I hope you don't and can replace ur car soon. I dunno what I'd do if mine was stolen

Sorry to hear about your loss - every owner's worst nightmare, and good luck with your search for a suitable replacement. Personally, I don't see that the lower VED is that important in the scheme of things, given the cost associated with running one of these. And I've never seen one without marked silver trim

Why worry about lower VED on a car that only does 20 to the gallon on a good day ?
