Audi S4 Avant. Nogaro Blue with full black leather interior.
2.7l - V6 - 30 Valve - Twin Turbo, with full time 4wd and 6 speed manual gearbox. 261bhp, 295lbft torque. 0-60, 5.6 secs and electronically limited to 155mph.

1998 – S reg.

This car is completely standard and has never been tuned or tweaked.

It comes in the most sort after colour combination of Nogaro Blue and full black leather interior with the matching blue colour hints to the carbon trim. Original 17 inch alloys with all four centre caps. Black roof bars and colour coded wing mirrors.

All the usual S4 refinements – ESP, traction control, anti-lock brakes, Boss Symphony sound system (missing multi CD unit from boot, though wiring is in place), climate control with rapid windscreen clear, all round electric windows with child lock out to the rears from drivers door, electric wing mirrors with anti-glare, xenon headlights, tilt, height and lumbar adjustment to front seats, pull up cargo net to boot area, 60/40 split rear seat.

Removable swallow neck towbar with swing down electrics (so unseen when not in use).

The car has done 161,000 miles and for it’s age/mileage is in excellent condition (the interior especially does not convey the miles the car has covered) – however, it is not perfect:
Wheels could do with a refurb, stone chip to bonnet, slight dulling to headlight lenses (does not affect performance though), boot cover spring retraction not working, HUD not fully working (but can be rectified for around £100).

MOT 21/06/2014 and tax end of June 2014. Last service at MOT June 2013.

For viewing I live near Southampton.

It's not, though when I bought the vehicle around 8 years ago it had recently come off a private plate, so what it had been before that I do not know.

I've posted it to Piston heads and uploaded pictures there:

Hi Mike,

What's the service history like?

Last Cam belt change?
Front suspension arms changed?
Gearbox and diff oil changed?
Clutch?
Original turbos?

Who has been maintaining it? - I struggle to find a good Audi specialist in the Southampton area!

I'm ideally looking for a well maintained facelift.

Cheers

Duncan

Hi Duncan - sorry to say it has gone now.

As far as good Audi mech's go....have you tried Abtech? They are expensive but seem to know their stuff. Personally I go to a small garage out at Cadnam (Cadnam Garage Services) now for everything as they have by far the best customer service I have ever experienced from a garage. They just aren't an Audi specialist - just top quality mechanics.

Good luck in your search.

Hi Mike,

I have used Abtech in the past, when I had an S4 - but after I had a coolant leak as a result of the after run pump failing they told me that they suspected head gasket failure as well. £££ for them to investigate.
Needless to say the car had not overheated, was running fine and ran fine subsequently.

I felt like I was being had over and never visited them again.

Which is a shame for them as I spent plenty on running the RS4 that replaced it!
