Hi everybody,
I have bee watching the RS6 C5 board for several months now looking for a RS6 Plus and looking to educate myself by reading the comments posted by the people with the knowledge gained by ownership and I am hoping someone who knows can offer advice on Number 332 presently on EBay for the third time.
It seems like the Motor for me, low miles, good history, looked after and importantly tuned to satisfy my Superbike Performance thrill needs but my neck hairs are saying caution why I do not know why so any insight from the people with experience would be more than appreciated.
Mike

Think someone posted link to this car earlier this year. Might be worth having a look through the classifieds.

FON!
Really nice car, and I can't believe I'm saying this,
Is it worth the £19k asking price? I love the C5's, but to be honest, you're nearly in C6 money there.

Thanks for the direction to the6 once I work out how to PM him I will follow up.
The 19k has consistently dropped and is now 17.5k but he has offered a seemingly good cash price but still a neck hair twitch as to why it has not been snapped up as all the other Plus's I watched surely were.
I always follow the saying that if it's sounds too good it possibly is, too cautious maybe but it seems if these cars are wrong they cost big.

It was a good car and tuned well. The MTM exhaust is exquisite!
Cam (the6) did have a small incident which involved some repair work in the rear drivers side but this was done yo a very high standard at an authorised porsche repairer. He felt this effected its originality and chose to sell but if you buy with your eyes open at the right price, its epic.
Id say 17.5 is still way too much. Got to be under 15k.

Cannot remember but I seem to recall it being sold on for more than what Cam sold it for... I think Cam bought it for £25 originally, it was top notch and made my dick long and hard.

Thanks for all your replies got it sorted now, sadly don't consider any crash damaged performance motors, it's a shame as it looks the dogs.

It does look a really nice one, I've never been in a chipped one, but I bet it's quite impressive, and that one sounds like it has good history with really good mileage.
To be honest, I wouldn't let the bodywork repair put you off, even a lot of brand new cars have had bodywork repairs done before they're picked up.

I remember that saveloy Bam, nearly poked my eye out...Oh and my own poked my other eye out if I recall... That was the dream car...
I bought the car with 18K miles on the clock for £24500. Good price I felt and was very happy with the purchase. Coming from a 6 already I knew it was the nicest plus on the market at the time. Perhaps the most expensive however considering the original bill of sale a mere £18K miles previously at £60K added to that the £9.5K tweak, it was a lot of car for the money...
I took her to Germany with a few of the lads here, to which it performed impeccably, I'm glad to say I notched 1 lap of the ring which was enough for me and my car.. The best bit was being in Nige's C6 for a lap, ok so I changed my grits afterwards and made a bullshit call to the wife describing my muscles flex as I ragged the rings corners harder than a.... er.... ragger rags rings..???
Anyway, clearly not a track car, the best bit was the drive there and back.. So after the trip Im settling into + ownership, loving every minute and as Bam said, I had to stick my arse out every time i went to sit in the saddle. However coming form a £7k warrantied gearbox replacement on the previous car, that tiny niggle of the possibility that this one could go , UN-warrantied also gave me a little weepoo from time to time...
SO I walked the dog over the Sussex downs on Dec 18th 2011, we had a day of snow and the roads was powdered. I take a corner at 20MPH and go sideways into a golf taking the full right side of the car out, air bags deployed??? all of it!
Insureance nearly wrote it off as it was £12K repair!! Obviosly we know ho wit works with garages etc but there it was...
So fixed, (very well) and there I am driving her again, loving the fact im on the road again however now tarnished with the fact my stunning low miler, mint example was basically now a factory 2nd.. So then the possibility of a gearbox issue was the last straw, I chopped her for an M5 Touer....
So there we are in a nutshell.... The M5 lasted 3 weeks, B7 RS4, now thats a great car!
I still have a few of the original pics from when I got her, the steering wheel leather was still grained!
