I have owned it since May 2006, when I bought it as a standard car at 63k miles and with a FASH, and it has been serviced by MRC annually ever since. The car is now on 91k miles, and I have never used this for commuting, hence the relatively low mileage during my ownership.
Recent maintenance includes:
• Both exhaust cams and followers replaced by MRC in Feb 2010. The can belt was changed , and oil cooler pipes were replaced at the same time.
• Gearbox rebuild last year for the 1st and 2nd syncro problem, and a new clutch fitted (May 2011)
• A new clutch was fitted, and oil cooler lines changed. The front suspension was overhauled last December.
• Other recent work includes wheel bearings, CV joints, and a new wiper rack.
Current spec as follows:
• MRC remap - has dyno'd at approx 460bhp - 490bhp on different rolling roads. Probably a realistic 470bhp
• MRC air filter/modified airbox
• Full Milltek, with 100 cell cats, resonated
• B7 front brakes
• H+R ARB's with MRC brackets
• AST Coilover suspension (fitted June 2011)
• Tanoga short-shift
• ESP DTS, and weighted titanium gearknob
• RS4 logo floormats
The car is on 20" Jaguar Sepang (BBS) wheels at the moment, and these were refurbed by Lepsons in Feb this year (unmarked) with new Conti CS5 tyres, and have done about 2k on these. Original wheels with good Goodyear F1 tyres would be included, but these would benefit from a refurb.
Additionally, Isofix mounting points have been retrofitted, and a set of fogless will also be included in the sale.
The only things I believe needs any work on the car is a crack to the paintwork on the bottom of the front bumper, and rear disks skimmed - these would be done prior to sale.
The main reason for selling is that I am now considering something newer (and less practical). I would be tempted to keep the car, if I had a garage or could obtain another parking permit but neither option is available.
