Wouldn't the trader who has 'lied' got away with 'lying' if that is what he had to buy the car?. (that is what i meant by it anyway)Briggy wrote:I had previously posted with the view that this was not such a bad thing, considering the seller's position, but you've just lost any remaining credibility. You only "get away it" if there's something to get away from. Nobody ever said "I've given this guy a really good deal and I think I've got away with it". It really throws up questions about your integrity. For every car you buy, you need to sell and I for one would think very carefully before buying from you.7 omm wrote:
its like a 'Hustle' from telling a minor lie, i find people who can do things like that are very clever/smart to be able to do so get away with it.
My integrity does not need to be questioned, a few people jumped on bam_bam's bandwagon saying it was 'prick trader behaviour' and i never disputed that.
i also said i never condone such activites but i do not see anyone quoting that.
All i said was it was clever on the trader's half which i still think it is, i am not saying it is the right thing to do, or that i would do it, i am just saying it is clever/smart for someone to be able to do it and get away with it.
As for every car i buy i need to sell one... I mainly deal 'Trade to Trade' sourcing select cars, any over spill i have goes through auctions.
