Lovely looking car. I wouldn't move much on price. Looks right to me.

Do you have the original steering wheel? Might be worth selling/advertising original parts with it. I think that will become increasingly important with these cars.

Which entertainment unit do you have with 7 character postcodes...?

I don't have the original steering wheel but the Sat Nav is the original unit, just that I got an updated maps CD for it. I still have the originsl maps CD though.

I also have the old manifold that was replaced. Will throw that in as I was told that it could be used if someone wanted one to deflap or clean it out and sell it as even second hand they'd be worth something as a new one is almost £3k from Audi! It was only 1 inlet flap that was sticking btw.

Haha. . Well seeing as I sometimes forget to use my indicators I thought I may as well get a car without any. Image

I don't suppose you could pm me a link to the sat navigation disc provider? I was under the impression that the std RS4 RNS unit couldn't do full postcodes...

The prices of these cars are being talked up I think(likely by owners knowing the capability of the car) but to potential new owners like me I'm starting to get put off with all the problems so frequently talked about.

As examples of selling prices the blakes car now up for 23+ was bought for 19.5 or less and done 40k odd, the black car up for sale at 18900 with the group who were selling the grey car at 29900 paid 16750 or lower, the private blue cars up for 22 and 22995 are still for sale when I last checked and been up a while. I think 18750 is too much if you actually want it gone. I say that compared to the cars I know have sold recently and for how much. I don't see summer making a difference to these cars value.

On the flip side I do see your grey car has had all the problems remedied so maybe I know nothing and your sell it at asking but I'm doubtful. I'd say in the 17's as it's private and knowing what wbac/trade is bid.

I always laugh if anyone really thinks market prices can be talked up !

if theres one for sale cheaper, buy the cheaper one !

and the blue car for £22k can stay advertised for £22k all year for all I care, I have no need to sell it, but they aren't making 50k mile well sorted cars any more - so someone who is looking for the right car over a cheap car will see its value

I never said anything about the blue cars needing to sell, I said neither have sold. I was pointing out what's shifted and what's not. People talking up prices doesn't move markets.

I don't think I've talked up prices in any of my posts?

I think a main dealer can obviously sell for much more due to the fact they offer trade facilities and the best warranties (thinking AUC bmw or audi/merc etc.)

I got a much better trade in value today as I called around a couple bmw dealers.

Reason given to me by one of the sales exec at one of the 2 dealers I called said it's how much margin they have in a particular car. I got £1k extra against a £29k bmw over one at another dealer who had theirs at 37.5k.

I'm also open to offers. I realise I didn't put 'ono' on my advert but that's because I just expect a potential buyer to negotiate.

Good news for me is I might just have my M5 by Monday!

I won't say anymore just yet incase I jinx myself and lose out on the car lol

Once I remove the mk2 RNSE + AMI, and the Full Milltek, I'll reduce the price accordingly ... of course people don't realise the value these things add, until they want to add them later on ...

Zainster no you wasn't, I wasn't trying to offend anyone I was just referring to a couple of the guys who own them saying you're not asking enough, again I meant it inoffensively, they do look to be great cars with a good following, i think the appreciation grows once you own one from the threads I read.

I don't know what RNSE + ami are worth over the earlier standard items. I do realise the cost of the miltek exhaust though. Yours looks like a great car.

Murph did you happen to have an AMV8 and a Caterham before????? :)
