I have no issue with traders making money. I don't give a fcuk about Morrisions, the price of bread or how much it costs for you to run your business. It boils my blood that 7 omm feels it's ok to pose as a private buyer to buy stock. That's prick behaviour in my opinion.

Nope, I have no concern with how many cars you buy, or loafs of bread. My beef is that you clearly agree that it wasn't bad for a trader to pose as a private buyer, in fact, you thought it'd be a shrewd business move to do so. That kind of prick behaviour has been discussed with great venom on this very forum, there were many members involved, not just me. I ain't bothered really but I can rally the troops, if you'd like? That way you can hear everyone's thoughts on the matter. I really don't mind helping you out with this, it's not like I have any sort of reputation to uphold, so, how about it, do you fancy it?

Speak for yourself. We've had traders pose as private buyers only to put the car up for sale in trader with £6k premium, at the end of that day, would that make you any worse?

This is going to be my last post on this thread as to be honest i am bored now.

I still stand on what i say and think it is a smart business move for a trader to pose as a private buyer to buy a car.

If for some strange reason unknown to mankind the Trader has to, (Money is no different from a Trader to a Private Buyer).

I never stated anywhere that i would condone such activities.

I did also however clearly state that Simon knew i was a trader from the start as i have nothing to hide.

Rally up whoever you want, i would love to view the discussions to see the reasons why being a Trader posing as a Private Buyer makes any difference at all. (other then it being a lie)

Regards,

I read that and never disputed it. I'm not sure why you keep bringing that up.

See, that's dishonest, it's prick behaviour. If a seller doesn't want to sell to a trader and they state that they don't, then the trader turns up posing as an enthusiast. That's a dick move. But 7 omn thinks it's perfectly ok. <beep>.

I'm not disputing that the OP didn't know this trader was indeed a trader, he'd stated early on that he made himself known.
My point has been that this trader still thinks it's ok to pose as a private buyer to buy stock from a private buyer. He even thinks that is a good business move. Ergo, I tar him with the same brush.

If I were to sell my car tomorrow, I'd want it to go to an enthusiast. Perhaps that's irrational, especially from the point of view as a trader - but it's my choice as the seller.

The last 2 owners before me were on the forum, and we've all taken good care of it, beyond your average car owner.

Now if a trader called me up asking to buy, I'd politely tell them I'm looking to sell privately, perhaps take their number, but decline.

So if a trader turned up and bought the car as a private buyer, they would have done so deceitfully and I wouldn't be happy about it.

So to the buyer on this thread; not withstanding all was above board on this particular transaction, you don't think that advocating deceitful behaviour actually puts you in a bad light? It makes you sound dishonest. So, rather ironically, I'd expect that would actually be bad for business.

within 12 hours of listing my car for sale, I had 4 traders call, all offering me pennies for my car, telling me thats all its worth blah blah blah blah ....

So I had to update my advert with **strictly no traders**

trader money and private buyer money is NOT the same ... traders will try to screw you for every last pound and try everything to get the car below its true market worth, some sellers are strong enough to tell them to piss off, but many are not experienced or comfortable selling cars, so end up taking a lower price than a true private buyer

If I wanted to sell to a trader I would not waste my time advertising the car.

I'm with you all the way Bam....

Boils my blood too with these ninja traders lurking this forum... FFS, the buyer in regards has only 12 post to his count...

THIS IS A FORUM FOR THE LIKE MINDED PEOPLE WHO ARE ENTHUSIAST FOR ALL AUDI's AND NOT FOR PRICKS LIKE YOU TO LURK AND TO BUY CARS FOR A PROFIT.

ADMIN... I truly think this type of behaviour/ actions should be banned since they are trade and NOT a paid Sponsor.

Any traders posing as a private buyer is just a big CNUTTT in my opinion.
Too much power is barely enough.
