I am going to be selling my cherished B7 RS4 Avant after over 5 years of ownership. Have my eyes on a series 2 lotus Exige and currently restoring my MK2 escort RS2000 so something has to give. I'm sure I'll come to regret it as the B7 is such an awesome all rounder.
The car has wanted for nothing over my years of ownership. I am in the very fortunate position of my dad being in the motor trade, owning viewforth tecs in central Scotland - this has meant cost price parts and no labour charges
The last 5 years of servicing has been carried out here regardless of mileage covered. Prior to this all other stamps have been Audi. I work offshore so the car sits in the garage for half the year and I have only covered around 600 miles this year. Car has become a real garage queen, only coming out in the nice weather for a blast. In fact it was SORN last winter and kept tucked away for a few months.The car is an 07 plate, has covered 73k miles and has recently had the following:
• OEM front discs and pads - less than 1k miles ago.
• Rear discs skimmed and new pads - less than 1k miles ago.
• 255/35/R19 Toyo proxes fitted all round - 2k miles ago (had P zeros prior to this and vredsteins before these but got a deal on the Toyos and I have found them a very good all round tyre in my opinion)
• Serviced each year with large service carried out at 60k miles with all fluids done, gearbox, diff, engine, brake fluid, spark plugs done. Minor services carried out each year regardless of mileage done.
• Wheels powder coated in shadow chrome. All wheels imaculate apart from drivers front which has a small blemish from a rocky car park.
• Tail pipes removed and powder coated black as there were small signs of external corrosion setting in.
• New front and rear wiper arms (small amount of corrosion on the old ones so decided to replace them all)
• New front fog lights (one of the old ones was cracked)
• Recently detailed, machine polished and prepped for winter.
Spec is as follows:
• Factory fitted Black optics pack
• Recaro buckets, flat bottom steering wheel, carbon interior
• Winter pack including heated front and rear seats aswell as the ski loading bag through the central rear seat.
• Factory fitted rear tints.
• Full Miltek exhaust system (not valved) fitted prior to my ownership.
• KW coilovers fitted prior to my ownership.
• Audi MMI including Sat Nav.
• Auto adaptive xenon lights, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors.
The car has driven faultlessly over my 5 years of ownership and I have truly loved every minute of ownership. It still puts a massive smile on my face driving it and even just opening the garage and looking at it. I am certain that this will start appreciating in value as less and less low mileage, straight cars can be found on the road and it really is truly iconic in both looks and all round driveability.
The car isn't really being used at present so mileage won't change much from 73,250 at present. The car is going back in to the garage to replace the rubber boots on the rear driveshafts as they have split and was identified during MOT in May. I will also be replacing water jets on both front and rear as a couple of nozzles are blocked. This is a genuinely straight and well looked after B7 RS4 Avant and I will be gutted when it goes.
