Does anybody on here know anything about this car?

Post by jerrys4 » Tue Oct 17, 2017 3:10 pm

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282691860637?ul_noapp=true

I came across this on ebay.
I know it's a cat D, but seems to have a good spec and pretty good mileage for the price.
Just wondering if anyone knows it.
Cheers.

The add says it was cat D due to the front seats being stolen.
But these have been replaced.

I did read a thread on hear, someone mentioned this car and viewed it, said it had mismatched colored body panels, been on the market for about 5 months so would have had a few viewings and obviously no takers, apart from being a cat d, looking at its mot history looks like it needs discs and pads all round so that's 1500+ to add to the price, plus a dubious photo of a child seat, suggesting it's been a family car? Although in their defence they welcome any RAC/AA inspection! Just my penny's worth, hope that helps. It does seem these thieving magpies have a tendency for Daytona Grey Avants recently!

Cheers Jimbob
I did notice the interior photos of the instruments showed they were taken in March.
Also spotted the MRC badge on the back, which could be a good thing, or someone could have just bought one and stuck it on.
History is the thing that I was wondering about, as I am located in the far north of Scotland, I thought I would check and see if any of you guy's knew anything about it,
Cheers.

Well spotted Jerry I missed those points you mentioned.! It is a long way to travel if you're unsure of the car, nothing to lose by giving dealer a call/Doug at MRC a call to get the picture, from what I read he is a very amicable guy and a site Sponsor so would willing to help, I assume, and car may well have had a lot of work done there? Cheers Jimbob.

It is the one I went to see. Dealer even offered me money to take my s2000, but I wasn't interested. Lots wrong with it and it ended discs and pads all round. Hadn't been loved. All panels had been painted, knocking on front end, and it had a badly shaped wing too. Badly scuffed interior, seats didn't pump up, sport button didn't work, drove flat as he'll and brakes were dangerous! Avoid like the plaque!

That will be why it's been advertised for so long then, cheers for the head's up.
