It’s hands down the best car I’ve ever owned; the power in unbelievable and it’s without doubt the best sounding thing I’ve ever had the pleasure to drive. Yet for some reason I can’t shake the urge for another B5…
So not for the first time, I’ve decided to trade up and start the hunt for another S4.

Interior/Options
Generally in excellent condition throughout – the only obvious sign of wear is on driver’s seat bolster
RS6 embossed Recaro interior – full black leather with silver piping, heated with electric fronts
RS6 embroidered mats
Centre arm rest
Carbon fibre trim
Alcantara headlining
Kenwood touch-screen head unit (USB, CD, Bluetooth, DAB, TV, DVD, etc etc)
Bose sound system
Cruise Control
Fitted with tracker
Exterior
Again, generally in very good condition, but not perfect. The car has plenty of stone chips and small age related marks, with the front end obviously being the worst. The rear bumper has some scuffs from loading/unloading and the driver’s side skirt is also scuffed from entering/exiting the car. No rust/corrosion/bubbling anywhere. From 10 yards she looks spotless!
The engine bay is immaculate – all carbon fibre covers present
Wheels are also immaculate – recently refurbished. Vredesteins on front (5/6mm), Pirelli P-Zero's on the rear (4mm)
Standard C5 RS6 8 pot callipers - plenty of life left in the discs and pads, both front and rear
Electric folding mirrors (brushed aluminium)
Sunroof
Front & rear parking sensors
‘V8 Bi Turbo’ decal – I had originally planned to remove this but it’s actually grown on me. The previous owner had it professionally installed and can easily be removed
Black front rings, RS6 boot badge removed
History
As already mentioned, the car comes with a folder full of invoices and receipts – includes proof of regular servicing, oil changes, gear box services etc. Service stamps detailed below:
18,010 @ Newton Abbot Audi
27,513 @ Newton Abbot Audi
39,083 @ Newton Abbot Audi
45,169 @ Coulsdon Audi
56,845 @ Coulsdon Audi
67,010 @ MRC Tuning
71,500 @ MRC Tuning
76,418 @ MRC Tuning
79,381 @ MRC Tuning

And a brief summary of the important stuff:

13 oil changes, the most recent at 91,045 (June 2017)
4 Gearbox services, the most recent at 91,100 (diff oil was also changed at this time) (July 2017)
Loads of general maintenance, repairs, servicing and general upkeep not included here so please ask if you have any specific questions regarding history.
Bad bits
The external air temperature sensor is temperamental – works fine sometimes, reads -40 degrees other times. It’s cold in Scotland but not that cold.
The fuel gauge is accurate until you get to the last eight of a tank or so – if you’re at/below the red mark and leave the car for a period of time it will quite often read completely empty at next use. I’ve read on here that this is quite common!
And that’s it!
The car pulls seriously well through every single gear, the gearbox is smooth in both auto and paddle shift mode, suspension is solid with no knocks or bangs. She warms up to 90 and stays there. Always run on V-Power. The exhaust note is unbelievable under load, but near enough completely silent when cruising on the motorway. For a bigger car it handles surprisingly well with the coilers and ARB’s. It really is an awesome all-round motor but I need another B5 in my life and can neither justify or afford having both.
Price: £9,995
There are cheaper ones out there and there are more expensive ones out there. I think given the extensive history and everything listed above that’s a fair price but feedback welcome.
Any questions please drop me a PM and I’ll get back to you. Happy to talk or over the phone or arrange to meet in person. Plenty more photos available if required.
Car is located in Ayrshire, Scotland.
