The market spoke; the car referred to was £15k for a reason. That is because it had a 100k on the clock. Unless it had other issues in addition.

As I said initially, show me a £15k b8 s4 avant on the market now. If there is one, it's likely done that sort of mileage. Current b8 avants are around £18k min. Good ones with quality history, low mileage and good condition are 20k.

Post any £15k b8 s4 avants you know of, if you would. I am intrigued.

There was another that recently sold for £14.5k on eBay which had MRC stage 2.

Fair dos, I assume that's cheap for a reason. Looks a bargain. I advise the op goes to look at that. Never like the bottom of the market purchases. Cars are generally cheap for a reason .

Well go lease / PCP a new one and hand it back after three years. Warranty, no bills, nothing to worry about.

On the other hand, for 'X' months payments, you could buy this "bottom of the market purchase".....

Whilst it's now steering vastly off topic, I prefer to own but prefer the higher end used where the depreciation hit has been had but the cars are still in their prime, so cash up for something like a 20ish k Audi. Then I'll shove an Audi complete on it for warranty.

A 15k b8 s4 is bottom of the current pile and that comes with its own risks. The buyer would find trying to warranty an 80k plus car with Audi is a little painful.

But completely agree with your last comment. I genuinely didn't know 15k b8 s4 avants existed and it's very clear not many do. That makes the ding ding bell go off imo.

Just re-checked and WBAC was £11800.
Car doesn't have Nav or sport diff and is in Dundee - so I suspect why it's cheaper than some.

At 15k if it's honest, I'd make the journey. The wbac price is irrelevant. I own a supercharged Exige as a weekend toy. Try and buy a good one of those at wbac prices:) you probably manage a third of the car :p

Mine sold for £16k last year private. 59 plate with 60k miles and manual with sports diff and sprint blue. They are very spec dependent and it was fairly low spec plus being up in Aberdeen area put people off. A lot of traders weren't sure on it being a manual which I thought was daft. Some people still like manuals.

They will pop up for sale so its not a daft search IMO. .

I'd only buy a manual. Just a shame the tax bracket is a couple of CO2s more [with the heavier Avants at least] which doubles the tax. That definitely puts people off too

Part ex'd mine recently and saw it sold for £15500 and that was 92k on the clock a 2011 Sprint Blue, S Tronic, Full Audi SH, Nav and Super sports with stage 2 and RS5 front brakes so for 15k you'll definitely pick one up!
