Hi there. I am thinking about selling my B7 avant in the next couple of months, but just testing the waters. Brief summary below, but ask me anything else:
- 07 plate, sprint blue, aluminium trim, light colour roof lining, 88k miles
- sports suspension plus
- Full manifold back Milltek resonated exhaust with valves and 100 cell cats
- ceramic brakes, sat nav, adaptive xenons, heated seats, buckets seats, sunroof, flat bottom steering, bluetooth, iPod connection, cruise control, auto wipers/lights/dimming rear mirror
- full service split between Audi and the RS specialists MRC and APS
- all original Audi recalls done.
- carbon clean at about 70k miles
- Front ceramic pads done at about 55k miles (the first set, so they last a long time). rear disks and pads done at about 75k miles
- oil cooler lines changed before they failed. Oil cooler all fine
- Sachs clutch (complete) done at 30k miles
- front DRC replaced under warranty at 30k miles. one rear DRC replaced by me last year
- all niggly other maintenance jobs done such as CV boots etc.
- 6 owners. 1st was Audi, three of us have been forum members, so the car has been very well cared for
- MOT April 2016, will be serviced before sale
Car is my daily driver, so the miles are creeping up. Alloys are in very good condition, though with one or two minor scrapes. Tyres (Goodyear Eagle) have done about 6000 miles from memory. I have a separate set of original wheels with winter tyres, so the summer ones only do summer duty! One or two stones chips, but nothing too bad. Mileages for when things were done is a little approximate as I am at work right now and don't have the paperwork to hand.
Pricing seems really tricky to get right at the moment, but I think it is a good spec and a well looked after car, so I'm looking for £24,000

I'm no expert and don't wish to offend but that seems to be strong money? Mine is a similar spec apart from SS+, ceramics and has 91k on the clock with FASH and i don't think i would get anything north of £17K - £17.5K.

Yeah its about £5-6k over priced
Re: For sale S4 Avant(B7)wanted Rs4 Avant (B7)
No offence taken. I'm no expert either and as I said it does seem difficult to price at the moment. There are a few very low mileage ones at a frankly ridiculous £34k, some with lower specs and few miles at £24k and some high milers at lower prices again. High spec ones with everything sorted and well maintained are going to be be going for a bit more money than average I think. There has been plenty of discussion on the forum about whether mileage is the ultimate arbiter of price for the B7 as well, so I would think you are a little under in what you could expect. All about who is looking and what they are looking for I suppose.Tacko wrote:I'm no expert and don't wish to offend but that seems to be strong money? I may be too strong by £1-2k, but I think it is a good starting point, given this comes with at least a grands worth of extra alloys and winter tyres.

I think mileage is the big attributer for the price of the car along with service history and recall work. Specialist work, Miltek etc is money well spent IMO but i don't think it makes a huge difference to the selling price.jonicox wrote:No offence taken. Low mileage ones of these will always attract big money. The B7 no doubt will become a future classic especially being the last of the manual V8. You don'y see many of them knocking around at all either and the B8 doesn't seem to have the same appeal for most.
I agree with you, some cars are ridcusolsy high and others quite cheap. Like you say it's all down to how much someone wants to pay. Unfortunately less miles = more money and that will always be the way in the motor trade. I know when i was buying i wanted to buy the lowest millage one i could find for my budget.

Re: For sale S4 Avant(B7)wanted Rs4 Avant (B7)
m off to Spain tomorrow for 6 week to finish my job, so I'm putting the car back in the garage.
When i get back I'm going to get the wheels refurbished then stick the spacers on.
Theres a small dink in the door and a couple of scratches that need to be sorted out before i sell it.
Then ill stick on the market and see what happens.
Do you think £11000 is a good price ?
If the spacers don't work on the S4 (B7) will they fit on a RS4 (B7)
Cheers
