Re: RS4 B7 Avant Sprint Blue 57k miles
Gutted about this, I was straight onto this last Saturday morning as were many people from speaking with John last Saturday evening ( who was a top bloke BTW) and I was sure he wanted it to go to an enthusiast, I guess money talks.
This'll be up for 24k in a few days.

Re: RS4 B7 Avant Sprint Blue 57k miles
Question for OP John - did they put a deposit on the car before seeing it? Would like to know because when another one comes up that I'm interested in, I'm guessing that I'll be in competition with them (and other dealers), even though I'm a private buyer.
Cheers,
Bryan

Dosent matter who is buying!!! First one to come up with an acceptable offer gets it!!!! .....end of!
Not going to turn down an offer just coz its a dealer!! So someone can come along and kick tyres. Just coz he's a so called enthusiast.
If you want a car to be kept for you to see it requires a deposit!!!
Folk just need to be quick off the mark. Not sit and look at it online for weeks !!
I would rather the car didnt go to a dealer. But they paid a lot more than I was offered as a trade in.
And as HYFR put it on my thread. "18k was a good transaction price" for my car. That's what they paid.
Their money is the same colour as everyone else's !!! They just have the balls to spend it!!

It would appear that they've sold it already, nice little earner for them...

No that's not either of them.
Check the number plates !!!
That was on their website before they even had the car back down South.

Thanks for the pic Chris, it was a sad moment to see it driving off. Still feels wrong seeing your car being driven by someone else :-/
Hopefully at £24k they've given you a nice new set of discs and pads on the front of mine as it did need them
@Mart -- It was really a case of money hitting the account that swayed me. Hope you find one that fits the bill for you as you're clearly a knowledgable bloke with an eye for detail
Gotta be sprint blue remember
@Briggy -- Yes money in the bank before they even set eyes on it. Very few questions on the phone so obviously knew what they were looking for. On arrival they did poke around quite a bit and were very nervous around the oil level but after I reassured them that the RS4 is very sensitive to levels (i know as I kept a spirit level in the car for topping up) they seemed happy. Strangely didn't know how an FSI engine sounds at idle and thought it was rough, I've heard rough and mines was very smooth after warm.
For anyone looking to buy I'm happy to pop round to the sellers if its in the north if it helps you to make a decision but with these guys travelling the country to buy them up it looks like you you'll need to be quick.

Re: RS4 B7 Avant Sprint Blue 57k miles
Btw I have two spare alloys which I'll be selling if anyone's interested. Super sports and good condition. Few nicks on them. Get pics on soon
Re: RS4 B7 Avant Sprint Blue 57k miles
Thanks for replying John. I now know what I'm up against. My trump card is that I can probably beat their trade in price as I'm looking for the "right" car, rather than making a profit. Just too slow with yours. D'oh!jonnyp wrote:

May take you up on your offer of giving a car the once over if it's in your area.
Cheers,
Bryan
