I'm afraid I'm up in Glasgow so bit to far to pop round I'm afraid, lol. Did you manage to sort the issues you were having with the clutch a while back? Has the DRC been checked, repaired or replaced recently?

yep the issue was fixed at a cost of...£30 for a new lambda sensor behind the clutch pedal, which was the issue. they had fixed this along with the last service about 2 months ago now. but all the paperwork is included. the DRC has been checked and no issues at all. i use a company down here called QS Tuning, run by Kim Collins so i took it straight ot him as soon as i brought the car from the garage to make sure there was nothing untoward.

Would also be open to a B8 S4 with the sports seat meeting the same criteria

Apologies for the late reply, it was the clutch pedal switch.

Having looked at and driven the RS4, B8 S4, 4.2V8 S5, S6 and S8 I have just bought a white '09 B8 S4 with S-tronic gearbox. It had (IMO) a nicer/far more modern dash than the RS4 and with having the 3.0 supercharged engine felt faster than the V8 S5 and is tunable to RS4 levels without spending a fortune and the S6 and S8 just felt too big for me.

Just imho - it depends how you define mint but if you want an "as new" car which is how I would define it then you are going to be into high milers or you will have to accept less than perfection.

I am putting mine up soon which os 40k miles, no accidents, original paint throughout, warranty etc and as close to a new car as you can imagine - but I wont be taking £18k for it :-)
