For Sale: Nogaro Blue B5 RS4 well cared for

Post by s-express » Sun May 05, 2013 8:34 pm

Nogaro Blue B5 RS4 with most options factory options installed.
11 months MOT, tax until end August 2013 (included)
£11,750
Car located near Chester
Its priced a bit higher than your average RS4, but I’ve recently spent £3k just on parts and it now needs nothing and has brand new JHM uprated brake setup as well as many other new parts. Just read the service history & you’ll see just how well pampered this car has been…..

Bought this lovely RS4 from SRS forum member Marc1 August 2012 and in that time I’ve done just under 4000 miles.

A few of the reasons I bought this car:
It has never had a remap (stock boost & fuelling)
It made 413bhp & 500Nm on a recent r/road (so turbos and engine healthy)
Always had 10k services so never been on the ridiculous longlife service schedule
Recent lightweight flywheel and new clutch fitted by Unit 20
Recent cam wear check.
Black optics with colour coded mirrors.
Fresh suspension.
Mechanically sound & well looked after.
Near spotless interior.
Aftermarket parrot Bluetooth and usb music system fitted.

This car was already pretty spot on when I bought it, but since then I’ve done the following:
JHM front brake upgrade including new Cayenne 6 pot callipers http://jhmotorsports.com/shop/catalog/f ... 60_119_122 The brakes are amazing, no fade ever and very responsive pedal
JHM Drive Train Stabilizer http://jhmotorsports.com/shop/catalog/d ... 6_120.html
Fitted Isofix to both rear seats
New cabin filter & air filter
New MAF (a peace of mind step as I changed from oil filled filter to paper one)
Uprated Whiteline RARB and poly bushes (makes the handling very neutral and removes any understeer but doesn’t affect the ride quality)
Brand new rear discs, pads and Bigg Red reconditioned callipers
Underside of car fully ACF50 treated (you can see the damp patches in some of the photos)
Broken fuel sender unit repaired
Refitted the OEM gear linkage
I’ve spent £3k+ on this car plus a lot of hours fitting the parts.
I honestly don’t think the car wants for anything now, mechanically its spot on (thanks to a very comprehensive preventative maintenance history lots of which was done by Unit 20
Current mileage is 128,786 (may go up slightly)
It goes like a scalded cat and wet weather grip is simply stunning, another level from any other quattro I’ve ever owned.
Reason for selling? Well, I have a burning desire for an exige and I already have another 2 (less special) quattro avants so the RS4 is a bit of overkill and as its worth the most, I need the cash!

Nogaro Blue Pearl 2001 RS4 (Y Reg)
Later AZR Engine code (EU3 Compliant)
(Some of the text further down has been modified from Marc’s original PH listing……)

It was also the article feature car in Audi Driver's RS4 buying guide, the issue will be included in the sale with the car.
The car comes with an extensive history including a full service history (Audi and Specialist) as well as in excess of 150 receipts, documents and work information. The file includes the MOT history, all old TAX discs, old log books, original folder, handover letter, inspection report and even order form and options list.
The car was originally ordered and purchased from AFN Audi West London. The original owner covers three of the five previous keepers displayed on the V5 due to company transfer - he owned the car for the first eight years of its life. A full audit trail to support this is included within the vast history file. So the official number of owners prior to myself is five (however as mentioned above, this is technically a genuine three).
Original purchase price after option selection was £51,522.50.
Interior is Onyx Valona Leather with Carbon Fibre inlays
It has nearly all factory options as follows:
6 CD Changer
Auto dip rear view mirror
Electric Slide/tilt Sunroof
Additional sideguard - head airbag protection
Sat Nav and TV
Black optics pack (quartz anodised aluminium window trim, back roof rails and body coloured door mirrors)
It also has:
Park Distance Control
Bluetooth telephone prep + Ipod / Iphone / MP3 player connectivity and bluetooth music stream (Parrot Mki9200)
B Pillar back window tint (20% - same as factory Audi privacy glass)
Genuine 2010/11 updated UK and Ireland map disc plus Western Europe 2010/11 map disc
Areowipers all around (OE rear and Bosch fronts)
Clear indicator bulbs and LED side lights
Milltek resonated cat back exhaust - the noise is there when you want it but it does not drone at lower revs.
Some service information and work completed:
The last six services where completed at 98k, 104k, 108k, 114k, 118k and 123k miles. The last service at Unit 20, which included spark plugs, health check and pressure test as well as a 12 month MOT.
The car is always run on Shell V Power (99 RON) without fail.
The mileage is currently at 128k - however this may move marginally - the car is not used for short distance journeys or used as a grocery getter.
The original owner put most of the miles on the car during his daily motorway commute between Virginia Water to Petersfield. I believe he truly loved and cherished the car from the history and the communication I've seen between himself and the owners that I purchased from. I have done the same within my ownership and have truly pampered the car.
The cambelt was last changed at the 104k service, which included the thermostat, water pump, aux belt and damper, all tensioners and rollers.
In addition the cam chain tensioner (nearside), seals, adjusters and rocker gaskets where also changed. I understand the offside was also done at 77k miles. Cams where also checked for wear at this point and where in good order (photo evidence to support). Again these have been checked since with further pictures taken.
Whilst the car had been in Marc’s ownership it was always maintained at well regarded S/RS Specialists - namely Unit 20 and JJB. Some of the lesser jobs being completed at more local professional VAG specialists.
Some of the more recent work completed:
Rear replacement suspension housing, arms and bushes - 123k
Plugs, service, health check and pressure test - 123k
Fully refurbed alloys - to remove the mild imperfections - 122k
Health check and pressure test - 118k
Lambda 3 (B1 S2) (main cat) - 118k
Fuel Pump - 117k
All upper front control arms - 117k
Bosch alternator - 115k
Bosch battery - 115k
Fuel filter - 114k
Injector seals - 113k
Health check, pressure test and second cam wear check - 110k (again all in good order with photo evidence)
Lambda 1 & 2 (pre cat) - 109k
OE Clutch and Light weight single mass flywheel - 108k
Gearbox and Diff oil change - 107k
Brand new replacement hard wheels - 107k
Additional previous work carried out include:
All suspension arms, CV boots, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, MAF's, lambdas, 710N divertor valves, secondary air sytem, gps ariel, discs, pads, temp sender, hazard switch, boot mechanism, vacuum hoses, evac pipe, full alignment and the list goes on...
There is unfortunately a slight crack in the upper rear bumper and a scuff (same bumper). This will be a relatively simple repair and the car will then be mint.
