Audi used car values

Just looking at Audi online used RS4 Avant (B8) and see a real variation in prices and specs for sale. I know that they would sell with a warranty, which comes at a price, but there seems to be a bigger range than I expected between those models still at the dealer.

Do we think our model is an appreciating asset or depreciating one! A B9 would be lovely but kind of hard to justify the cost to get something only a few years younger.

Beats asking about tyre choice!!!

I regularly check the auction prices of B8 RS4's going through BCA. There are no physical auctions at present, only online sales for trade account holders. But a decent spec, and a good Audi service history are still major factors that help stronger prices, and the colour still seems to be strongly influencing the hammer price. Recently, strong vibrant colours, like Sepang Blue, and individual colours like Suzuka Grey got strong money, whereas Ibis White, Misano Red, Prism Silver and suprisingly Daytona Grey didn't seem to fair quite as well. A lot depends on the spec, and the car itself, but overall, I've noticed colours that 'shout' at you seem to be commanding better prices. Doesn't always follow, but overall.....
Always been the same for years - get the best spec you can relative to your price range, even if you don't use half of them, and in a vehicle such as an RS4, get a 'striking' rather than a 'run of the mill' colour, which will help sell it when the time comes with a stronger residual value.

Agreed ^

As always its mainly down to the spec and colour that demand a greater price,
unless you part ex at a dealers and they will gladly tell you that the spec puts no money on top of a part ex price!!

It would be nice to know the “hammer price” on a couple of these!

The 'collecting cars' website had a couple of RS4s recently. Not sure if they sold but think they were getting bids of about £23k which I thought was on the low side.

Suspect right now is not a great time to be selling....

WBAC valuation for mine has been pretty consistent since June last year when I first thought about moving it on. AUC car in warranty / 15 plate / pretty well specced / 21k miles.

As WBAC are owned by BCA Marketplace, the vast majority of WBAC cars purchased end up auctioned through BCA in their UKCGR sales, so the values quoted will always be on the low side with a view to making profit selling them online at auction.
So a WBAC valuation figure is not really a true reflection of their true value.

Agreed, good to see that there still nice low mileage examples out there over £30k atm.

Only if the public knew what goes on in a main dealer
Everyone goes on about “Audi service history”
I would consider walking away from a car with full Audi history
The 17/18 year old apprentice really doest know what he’s doing yet let alone service an RS4

Well 5 cars on my longlist have sold in the last week - 3 at Audi dealers! So maybe the market has only just recovered from Christmas / Covid-21 ...

Does anybody know this car or it's owner? https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11201657 It's absolutely lovely, but £33k for a private sale seems like a lot, even with only 24,000 miles on it!

Good spec and low mileage... best colour!
Up to you if it’s value for money.

LOL @ "Best Colour" - you're biased!! :beerchug:

I'm not sure on VFM - if it was one of the very last of the 2015 cars then maybe, but for a 2014? Were there any registered on '65 Plates? :|

Mine was one of the last from factory. Registered May 2015.
Don’t believe there were any 65 plates. But don’t quote me!
