Decent boot liner

Hi guys. Looking to buy a high quality boot liner for my RS4. I do a lot of mountain biking, as it's an E-bike it's a bit too heavy to lug on and off the roof. Therefore I would prefer to put it in the boot, hence buying an estate! Just want a decent boot liner that will protect the car.

Has anyone purchased the B9 boot liner from hatchbag? It's the only comprehensive one I can find but not sure how dimensionally different our car is to the B9. I don't mind if it's a little bit loose fitting etc, as I'll remove it from the car after using it. Would prefer to spend 10 mins re-fitting/removing a boot liner than leaving it in all the time. Gives me an opportunity to clean everything and don't get any water sitting in the car causing smells etc.

The below one is great as it comes with:
  • Boot liner
  • Tailgate cover
  • Rear seat cover plus extension
  • Bumper cover/protection

I'm open to other recommendations too but as previously mentioned would like a decent one, nothing cheap - I'm already using the cheap option, huge tarp!

The B8 Avant item you are after is part number 8K9862559A although it doesn't offer quite as much protection as the hatchbag.

Hi Matt - I actually have one of those already, previous owner must have bought one. However as you've alluded to it's no way near as comprehensive as the one in the link. I'm very keen to protect the car as much as possible and don't mind spending a bit more to do so :). I'm tempted to just get a B9 one, I really doubt there's that much difference in size.

I don’t think you need to go for the B9 version, the standard B8 A4 Avant item H0458 will be perfect for the B8 RS4...

I went for a Boot Buddy:

I also bought a 3m roll of coin rubber flooring, and as a 'belt and braces' approach cut it to match the contours of the boot with the rear seats folded down.

It looks pretty bomb proof in there once it's fitted.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, appreciate it. Don't know why I didn't think of just looking at the normal A4 one.. clearly had my RS blinkers on.

On a sort of similar topic, does anyone know where to get a half descent rear seat cover?

Thinking kids + winter = ruined leather!

Duelsy - did you buy the Hatchbag H0458 for your RS4 ? I've had one of theirs in our Golf R (which was great), and looking to get one for the B8.5 RS4. I rang them today and they said it does fit an S4, but they weren't sure if the RS4 boot is the same size/shape ?
