Fuel Pressure Sensor Failure

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and a new-ish owner of a 2015 RS4.

I had a problem in the last few weeks where the engine was occasionally cutting out without warning. My local Audi repair centre say that there is an intermittent fault with the fuel pressure sensor and have recommended replacement.

The item will need back-ordering from Germany (I assume this means a specially manufactured component). I have an all-in quote at heading towards a four-figure amount for the job. I am told the job will take 4.5 hours to complete.

Has anyone else experienced this fault?

Thanks in advance.

If its a 4.5 hour job labour and VAT will be your problem.

I'd take it to an independent, where are you based?

Thanks robster; you are right - its the labour (and the VAT thereon) that is the major cost. The sensor itself is only £60...

I'm in SW London; I'll scout around for some independent RS experts.
